With my first pair of Bearpaw boots, I ordered a size up because they were so fluffy inside. Well, that fluff will compact, and the shoe will fit true to size as you wear it. If they’re too big, your feet will slip out and you’ll get less use out of the boot as the fluff compacts. The fluff doesn’t make the boot uncomfortable for me with my true size (7). It’s snug, and warm. Of course, your mileage may vary, so walk around the house and see how they feel! Bearpaws have been the affordable UGG for me. Good quality, and a better price point!

I am adding a second review after ordering a second pair, the Distressed Black, also in a 9. Here again, I find the inconsistencies I've had with other Bearpaw boots. As I said below in my earlier review, I wear a 7.5 or 8 generally but sized up one full size to a 9, and with the Distressed Chestnut it was perfect. However with the Distressed Black? My toes were to the end and almost needing to be curled. my first instinct was to check the box, certain the wrong size was sent but no, it was labeled (box and boot) a 9. Next to each other, they are just enough different that I go yep, that's why they don't fit. I'll be happy with the pair I have, but am disappointed, the color of the Distressed Black is great. ------ I've never cared for Bearpaw boots, and have stuck with the higher end Emu boots, but was drawn to these particular boots. I kept looking at them, adding them to my cart and saving them for later. Finally decided to buy them and worse case, return them if I didn't like them. I sized up like I have with other Bearpaw products (I wear an 7.5 or 8 or 8W in some sneakers in most shoes and bought a size 9) and these fit perfectly. I wouldn't size down but wouldn't size up any further. The calf, which has been an issue with other Bearpaw boots, was comfortable and not snug, nor was it too loose. The distressed chestnut color was gorgeous and looked as nice, if not better than the pictures showed. These were a game changer for me, I was prepared to try them on and then process the return like I have with all Bearpaw shoes I've tried.

Usually wear 8 1/2 to 9 in shoe. I remembered how tight uggs were at first. I ordered an 8 knowing they would stretch. Tight fit at first but fits great after about 2 weeks. Feet don't sweat like in "knockoffs" . Feet toasty warm. Won't wear anything but from now on. Cheap nameless brands causes Feet to sweat and breakout. You get what you pay for. These are just as good as uggs!!
