I didn't even realize the lower part was cow hair, I thought it was just suede leather! They are extremely comfortable as well! I own a pair of white Boetis Bearpaw which I purchased from HSN. So I knew to size up for a perfect fit. HSN had sold out of my the black boots, which is why I searched Amazon. The Bearpaw store prices change constantly, which I don’t understand. These boots went from $160. 00 to $171.00 in a couple of days. I really wanted the black so I purchased the boots. The day my order arrived, the Bearpaw store was selling the same boots in the same color and size for $149.00. What the??? A $22.00 DECREASE? I’m sending them back. ... show more

Very comfortable and warm in even the coldest weather. Be sure to protect fur with a spray protector that is waterproof made for shoes. Great boot. Fur is quite large, definitely a statement boot! They make your legs look tiny! Very happy with mine.
