I liked the explanation of the bearings and azimuths. What I think is missing is an explanation of compass magnetic north declination and calculating new bearings with changes in declination over time

I was a bit disappointed in the shortness of the book. If you know anything about basic surveying, this won't add much to your knowledge. It's probably good info for someone just getting into surveying. There's no mention at all about Magnetic Bearings or Magnetic Declination and those should be part of any discussion about bearings. ... show more
