I had to change/add onto my review because after a few more weeks of using this the plastic around the metal basket started chipping and food particles are getting stuck between the glass bowl and plastic handle. Once the plastic chips in certain areas its hard to get the item aligned for the machine to actually do its thing. I am now going through the warranty and customer service for replacement options. Very convenient to have the steamer and blender all in one. I love having the glass and stainless steel basket vs plastic. The instructions for water level depending on what you are steaming is so easy, you just fill to one of the three water level setting and push the button, it beeps when done. I’m happy I got the navy color because I noticed the white cover picked up some of the orange color from the carrot/squash combo I made the other day. I can’t get it off and can’t imagine how annoyed I’d be if the whole machine had stains on it.

I received my first Beaba in 2014 for my first child’s baby shower. I have used it probably 3-4 nights a week for the last SEVEN YEARS. And it still works perfectly. However, now that my third son is on solids, and I’m looking at at least another 7 years of steaming veggies for dinner, I decided to upgrade my old model. WHEN I TELL YOU that this steamer feels like a LUXURY purchase i am not lying. The glass, the stainless steel, the silicone buttons, the “midnight” color way.... I am seriously obsessed with it. And it feels SAFE. The glass and stainless steel feel safe for cooking, and durable, and chemical free! If I had to complain about something- and I always find something..- is that the lids on it are light pink. Pink does not work in my kitchen or with my life and I wish it wasn’t on my beautiful midnight steamer but that’s all.

Ever since I heard about the heavy metals in baby food I started looking for ways to make my own baby food and I found a couple websites talking about this product and it was made in France and not China so I can trust that the materials used aren’t toxic or low quality. It was a little pricy but man is it worth it to have peace of mind that my baby food is untainted and plastic free. I love using this thing and highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for baby food makers. A little tip- make like 30+ jars of food (buy glass jars) and stash them in the freezer. At night, but 3-4 in the fridge to thaw overnight and when you wake up the food will be thawed and ready to eat the whole day. That way you don’t have to make new food everyday. We do rotations of like 40 jars.

This machine is supposed to make life easier well let me tell you about Beaba and their customer 'service'. The box says don't return to retailer, contact us instead. Okay. Easy. I cleaned the machine, used it with sweet potato and it immediately cracked. The carafe was instantly broken, it heated up, and broke. No problem I'll contact customer 'service'. Yeah... no. They accused me of breaking it, dropping it, and then using it incorrectly so that it broke. They said it was a 4 week turn around to get a replacement carafe... so I'm out $300 in the meantime? I don't think so. It went right back the next day. Beaba.. never again.

Absolutely love our Neo. It is so easy to make homemade baby food. My son is older (9 months-ish) and just starting on more textured purées. The stage 3 store bought food constantly made him gag and he refused to eat them. Enter beaba babycook! I’ve been able to make him homemade food and control the texture. He loves mealtime now and it’s so nice being able to have more control over what I’m feeding him. I wish we would’ve purchased this sooner so I could’ve done this from the beginning. I will say it does take some practice to get the blade reattached and sealed properly. Make sure to keep the directions so you can reference the diagram.

This is an extremely simple machine to use and blends/steams the food perfectly, plus the food never touches plastic which is why I bought it! For this reason I give it 3 stars! The downside is that I can't see it lasting long and needs to be descaled at least once a week. I've had it for a couple months now and the blade seems to be burnt from the steaming basket (or the pasta/rice basket). It also leaks heavily from the bottom. I think I may have gotten a faulty blade because my biggest issue with it is really the blade/descaling issue. Because of the leak from the blade, the water runs out super fast. I've checked it numerous times and it's in properly.
