I only just put it in, so I don’t have a lot of data on its operation. But as far as INTALL, the cables are so bulky & stiff that they barely fit next to the HDD enclosure (the case shares that blame too) My main concern is the instructions & labeling of the modular ports on the back… the terminology was hard to decipher since the motherboard & other components used differently abbreviations & stuff to identify what goes where. For a complete NOOB first timer I was scary since I didn’t want to fry my new PC. Absolutely buy this thing, but if you’re new to all this, DO ALL the research so you know what to do. ALSO their website has a GREAT wattage calculator to help you figure out which unit you need for the set up you have. ... show more

You would hope with a name like "Be Quiet" that a power supply would be quiet. Well the first one I had was amazingly quiet. You couldn't hear it at all...of course it also didn't power my computer :). I had to return the first one and got a replacement. The second one works well. Great power supply, quiet, doesn't make noise when under load (heavy gaming), looks like it's built with quality. I'd say it's worth the money, at least based on my experience so far. I have an issue with its cables (see photo) -- they are all really long and firm, which might be a plus for some people, but particularly the GPU cables are causing problems for me: the 8-pin that goes into the graphics card supplemental power socket is very firm it goes at 0 degree angle w.r.t. the card which makes the cable stick out way past the left-side case wall border of the case and I can't bend the cable to fit. I don't usually close that wall, but even now I'm worried about pushing the case too hard against the desk and damaging my graphics card (imagine the lever against the PCI-e port, especially given how heavy the cards are by themselves...). Anyway, would be nice to engineer and include some sort of 90-deg plug option -- I can't even find one on Amazon so far.. ... show more

When you are building a premium computer the be quite! line is the best there is. While Evga has so many different levels of their PSUs, be quite! only goes good-better-best. This unit is the Platinum Version and only their Titanium versions can beat this. Simply, take any other power supply and place it on a table with a be quite! next to it and just looking at the units will tell you difference. German engineered, all the be quite! line is manufactured to the highest standards available. Do I have any complaints? Well not really a complaint, but some of their cable plugs are constructed totally different than all the other manufacturers. Not really an issue because they supply the proper cables with every power supply they sell. If your a fan of other brands and never bought one of these, try one and you'll see why they are so well liked! ... show more

I have owned a few different brand PSU's over the last 20 or so years and always tended to go with Seasonic for there longevity. My last one went strong for about 8 years before starting to lose 5v stability recently. So I figured I would just go Seasonic again but decided to do a little shopping around first. I had always heard good things about be quiet CPU heatsinks and fans being very reliable and super quiet but had never owned anything from them. So after watching some reviews and reading a bunch about them I decided to give one a go. I have a Praxis Wetbench (PC test bench) that has nothing to block any fan noise which is always a challenge when dealing with a test bench config. I have my system filly liquid cooled and some very quiet fans on my radiator but my Seasonic PSU was always the loudest part of my setup. To the point where when at full load benchmarking or gaming it would sound like a hair dryer and was always a bit annoying. Over the years I guess I just got used to it and debt with it. But with this be queit let me tell you.. THIS THING IS NEAR SILENT! Even when pushing it pretty hard it never gets louder them my radiator fans and they are very quiet. I cannot put into words how peaceful my office is now. Its wonderful! I cannot speak to be quiet's longevity but I can definitely say its by far, the quietest PSU I have ever used and the build quality seems very good. Also come with very pliable sleeved cables. Much better then the flat black one you get with Corsair, Thermaltake, Coolermaster and multitude of other brands. Hoping for many years of use. Love it so far! ... show more
