This dress was exactly as I hoped. The quality of the fabric and stitching is good. In the 3rd picture you can see the lining in the bodice. It is very comfortable, snug around the lower ribs, waistline is just above my natural waistline, as most dresses of this style are. This means it doesn't squeeze at the waist, which is nice. I got a size small. I am 5'4, 123-ish pounds. I was concerned about the bodice with this style. I am a 34A and this style bodice usually doesn't fit real well no matter what. This fits but not as snug as I would like, but that is what I expected. It comes a bit low on me for my comfort so I put an insert in the neckline (first picture). I think it still looks nice, though. In the first picture I have a petticoat on underneath, in the second picture I do not. I think it looks good both ways, even without it. The blue color with the white dots looks great. Love the color. When I first put it on the seam at the bottom of the bodice was folded up and made the fabric look bunched up. When I figured out why it looked that way, I just folded the seam down inside and it is fine. I have not yet steamed this dress so the wrinkles you see are how it came out of the package, it has been hanging for a few days but that is it. Needs to be steamed but doesn't look too bad. I love this dress! I’m 5’ 5” about 165 it fits a bit snug, but an XL would be too big. The color is a dark navy. I want to buy 2-3 more, they are so cute and comfortable. The shoulder area can also be folded down to wear off shoulder.

    • Practically Perfect, but no pockets
My only complaint is that there are NO POCKETS!!! (I assumed as much when buying the dress based on the description.) But since I’m capable of adding my own and the side-seam placement will make this relatively easy, it was more important to me to pick a style and fabric I liked. The fit and flare style is perfect for a curvy figure and the white on black polka dot pattern is adorable. The fabric is truly cotton except for a little polyester in the bust lining. This fabric will probably wrinkle a little more easily but at least it will *breath* —very important if you’re going dancing! I’m usually a size 14 (L/XL) but I ordered the 3XL because my bust measurement was in-between sizes and the cotton fabric has NO stretch. There’s a little looseness and gaping but I think I’m happier with this than if I’d ordered the smaller size. This is probably most appropriate for casual occasions but I plan to wear it with heels to a semi-formal wedding where there will be dancing and I want to be able to move comfortably. ... show more

The dress fit great! Fabric was nice and had some give to it so even if I overate it would probably still be comfortable. I could move and breath fine and at no time felt like I was squeezing myself into a dress. The problem with it though was the zipper. It got stuck when I first tried it on and I shrugged it off because I was able to get it to function correctly and at first glance it didn't appear to be damaged. However the night of the event I bought this for, the zipper split open along the teeth. I was able to get it off and realigned twice but the 3rd time, as I was walking to the venue a few blocks away I felt it split again. I stopped in a bathroom to remove the dress and discovered that this time the zipper pull had completely snapped apart. Thankfully I had a shawl to cover the dress because there was no time to turn around. Concierge service was also great and provided me some safety pins. I'm giving stars because it was definitely pretty and the fabric itself felt sturdy. But the zipper was super cheap. Thankfully I know how to sew so I replaced the zipper myself rather than put myself through the headache of taking a 2nd chance of this happening again. ... show more

Size large was good. However I am a 36 DDD, 163 lbs and 5’6. It runs small if you have big boobs. I am getting married for the second time and is perfect. Just know if you have big boobs get a size larger. Quality is great and a nice material.

I’m 5’9” 180 lb with a long torso and small/medium bust. Ordered a Medium. I generally fit in medium dresses when they’re stretchy because size larges are usually too big in the bust for me. This is a size Medium in the photo. It’s pretty cozy up there in the chest because the material is not stretchy and it is zippered all the way up the back. I’m going to try a size large just for reference but I’m happy with the chest coverage in the medium. It’s very flowy in the waist which is nice for dinner events that might leave you normally trying to suck it in. NO POCKETS!! The zipper is not top quality so I can imagine if you’re not careful, it will break with too much force so trust the person zipping you up with all your heart. FYI, There is a band just under the cups that create an extra tuff of material that the zipper has to gently yet also firmly get over. I ordered a few white belts that might add some flare to that band nicely but can also be worn as is! Easy to dress up for a formal event (why I bought it) or throw on a Jean jacket and flats and go casual. Again material is stiff—no stretch, so it’s slightly restricted in the arm pits but not so much that I cant raise my arms. I’m happy with the arm pit coverage which is always a self conscious trigger for me. I’ll have to follow up with what it looks like when I sweat here… Overall, there are lots of mixed reviews on this one but I say take the risk and try it on. My husband seemed genuinely wowed when I walked in the room. The only thing that would make this a 5 star dress is POCKETS! And maybe a 1-2% elastic material blend for some breathing room. ... show more
