I had heard great things about Turkish towels and decided to give this one a try. It's as light weight as towels get (not in a cheap way), soft, and well woven. It's not the most absorbent towel I've ever used but it definitely dries well enough right off the shower and I did notice improvement in absorbency after washing it the first time. For anyone who is sensitive to smells, I will note that mine had a very noticeable fragrance but it washed off after a single wash. I got these in purple and black and they are very cute. But beware, they repel water worse than polyester, even after 3 washes. Water almost beads on them, and they sort of squeak if you try hard to dry your hands on them. I have never seen cotton like this. They are cute, but the fringe is starting to unravel a bit with the washes, though the biggest problem is they just aren't absorbent. ... show more

I kept this towel under the guise that it would soften up with repeated washings. That hasn't been the case with mine. I've been using it in rotation for about six months now and it's sadly quite coarse and piled. Can not even compare it with my organic cotton Turkish towels. Only had this towel a week and washed once but it has already become softer and more absorbent. The color matches the hand towels I got and look very stylish in my boho chic bathroom. The towel is much bigger than I expected which is really nice to wrap around and be completely covered (I'm pretty short but still). Perhaps this is a feature of the Turkish towels, but I'm not a fan. The towels are too thin to do much. They don't absorb well so even after trying to dry my legs with them I still feel a layer of water on my skin. What's the point of a towel that doesn't absorb?

These towels, even after being washed with fabric softener several times, are not at all soft and extremely scratchy. They sometimes are painful to use. They are are very low absorbency. I have various brands of Turkish towels and I would not recommend this one.

These are fabulous!!! A bit surprised with how big the bath towels are; they are super soft & very well made. Did great in the washer/dryer. Haven’t actually dried myself after a shower but looking forward to it!
