These shelves are made of some type of particle board core that is covered in what appears to be a thin Formica. The core seems to be hollow to save weight. The application of the Formica is not done very professionally but it looks ok if you're not up close. I like the wood look of these and they do look nice hanging up. The drywall anchors are very cheap and are very easy to strip as you tighten the screws. Go slow and careful - or better yet, get your own wall anchors and throw these away. Some of mine stripped a little but I used them anyway. They seemed to hold the shelves ok but now I'm worried they will come loose. These look pretty nice overall. Just beware of the wall anchors and consider getting better ones. ... show more

Small but good little shelves. I got them to match some longer ones that look almost exactly the same. They look great. They're sturdy and well made. Easy to install. Just pay attention to the measurements, because these are on the smaller side.

I like the style of shelf, and that this one came in a three pack. -The shelves come with the hardware you need and includes anchors. -The shelf slides into the metal brackets just like traditional floating shelves however this one has two separate pieces so one for each screw. I think this might make installing them easier. -it comes with a template for each shelf that has holes for the screws. -The shelf quality is sturdy and the finish looks nice. These would work great in any room that you need extra storage or would like to display things. ... show more

Simple, nice shelves, very versatile, not to big either and hold well enough for their size. Note it does come with a mounting template which is nice but remember the template must be leveled if you expect the shelf to be leveled. There is a small amount of "play/wiggle" in the shelves but nothing notable. My reason for 4 stars here is that these shelves all have some bit if scratches/nics in them. I tried to capture them with the photos but they are hard to see which is also why I didn't give them 3 stars. In short, from the cost perspective its about average so as long as you get some nice shelves then its a decent buy otherwise maybe work with the manufacture as I find many are willing to work with folks to remedy issues like this. ... show more

Oh I like this shelf set its probably my favorite yet. So I have always liked floating shelves but I really thought you had to put them together but you don't. Like because they aren't actually connected I was able to put them through out my house in certain places to give me the perfect shelf space on empty walls to put knick knacks. They look nice and are so well put together. They were so easy to put up as well once you got the bar screwed in the wall you just put the shelf on it which makes it even stronger and more durable than if only a nail was holding it up like most shelves do these days. It can hold up to 22lbs however I doubt I come close to that but I love my new shelves. They would even be great as like a house warming gift but I do definitely recommend these. ... show more

These shelves are heavy! They're very nice looking and easy to install. Very nice addition to any room. Gives ya extra space and looks nice doing it. My only concern is with the weight limit. If they can only hold 22 pounds, does the weight of the shelf itself count in that weight? The general spacing for interior wall studs is 16" on center, but they can be 24" if it's an exterior wall. So, if ya want to make sure ya get these in studs, for extra strength, you'll want to use an interior wall and not one that is an exterior wall. (Meaning not a wall that has the outside of your house on the other side) These are well priced for what you're getting and I would definitely recommend them! 💯 ... show more
