Happy with the purchase overall, these suit my needs to keep people from parking in our private parking spaces. Functional for that. Putting them together / installation is a breeze, just pop the weighted black bottom (fairly heavy, not as much as I thought it'd be) on overtop the cone itself. They are pretty strong overall and definitely deter anyone from running over them. I used these with caution tape as a barricade where I was working on an exterior storefront. They are very sturdy and weighted down well so they will not blow over or tip over easily. The main issue I had as others have mentioned is the awful chemical/rubber smell that comes from the black bases. I tried washing them, airing them out in the sunlight but they just stink. The smell is nauseating and doesn’t seem to ever wear off. Mine have been stored outside for over a month and still smell badly . ... show more

Good quality cones. Easy to assemble but there’s an odor from the factory. Best to leave under the sun for about a week or more if you can just to release the toxins. It’s weighted but the strong Santa Ana winds still topple it over. Not too far but it’s extremely better than other cones which fly off over the street. ... show more

I live at the beginning of a cul-de-sac. When drivers realize there’s no way out, they use my driveway as a turnaround. This causes my camera alarms to go off at all hours of the day and night. These 3 posts and plastic chain links prevent that from happening (so far). The base of these posts are weighted and hold up nicely on rainy, windy days. I’m practicing for the Ohio maneuverability test as I am finally going for my driver’s license. I purchased these to help me practice. They do have a strong rubber smell and I did see the warning not to use these in an enclosed space. Unfortunately, I live in an efficiency apartment so I have no choice but to stow them in an enclosed space. The smell did give me a headache but after two days of keeping them in my apartment I hardly noticed the smell anymore. It is a bit cumbersome dragging them across the street everyday to practice. They’re also not cheap considering once I get my license I’m not really going to have a use for them. But, they’re sturdy and tall enough that I can see them when I glance out window.
