I put this together in fairly short amount of time but I've done many wire racks before so it came easier to me. The pole to hang the clothes is strong and is attached by two hooks that the end of the pole screw into. I had to crimp the hooks so that they would stay more steadily and stable where they are hooked on to the wire rack edge... You'll probably want to do the same thing. The very top shelf that I assume is designed for storage has very flimsy shelving you can put your hand on it and push down and it gives without much effort so I wouldn't put anything heavier than say a whole line of pairs of shoes up there. Or other light items. The wheels are easy to put on they simply screw into a threaded hole but I was a little disappointed to see there were no washers so that the nut that makes contact with the rack after you screw the wheels onto the rack had a stable surface. The hooks that you attach to each side of the rack are very useful and are sturdy. I think it's misleading that the person who wrote the description for this causes a heavy-duty rack... It is not by any means heavy duty. Having put this together I'm having thoughts that I should have just bought a heavy duty wire rack and ordered poles you can hang from the shelves the same as this one has. At least then I would have been able to use the shelves themselves for storage should I choose to ... show more

These are better than the cheap ones in the store. The poles are metal and not cheap thin Composite. One of them came damaged and returned for new one. All was good. The black clips are kind of cheap but that’s the only thing that I would say could be better.

Excellent portable adjustable shelving rack that will last many years. My configuration was supposed to have two hanger rods but was shipped with one hanger rod, two clips and two screws missing. I decided not to send it back because of this but make sure you do a total parts inventory before assembling. Would like to get the missing parts but guess I'm SOL. ... show more

Once the shelving unit was assembled it does not allow enough room for a adult tall persons shirts or pants to hang without dragging on the shelves. Needs to be a few inches taller to compensate for longer shirts & pants.

I live in the basement of my house with my roommate, and my room unfortunately does not have a closet. At first, I was using a one tier, unsteady clothing rack bought from Target for about $30-$45. It was so flimsy and had little to no space. I’ve been looking to invest into a better clothing rack, and have been keeping my eye out on this one. I finally decided to purchase it, and it was probably one of the best choices I’ve ever made. First off, the assembly was quite simple, but you may need another person to assist you. If you’re short, I recommend a step ladder. I love that I was able to choose the placement of all the pieces.
