I am 5’ 8” 180lbs and swing 25.5oz end load or 26oz balanced bat. After swinging and training with it I can easily move up to a 27oz bat with no problem. After taking a couple of rounds with the weight on he went back in without the weight and hit 5 hard hit balls in a row. Looking back at me after each hit with a smile on his face. This weight is a good idea, in theory. I have purchased camwood bats for my nephews to use in practice. The extra weight around the handle is much better than swinging a traditional donut weight towards the cap of the bat. I opened the weight for the first time yesterday to place on my nephew’s bat. When I took the second screw out, the rubber coating came with it. The rubber covering will definitely peel off soon. If I trim the excess rubber, the metal weight structure will be exposed. Once the rubber covering comes off, the metal weight will scratch up the bat. Since I had already opened everything, we went ahead and used the weight to practice. The screws are heavy duty enough to use the weight while hitting. It’s necessary to retighten each screw after contact. The product might be worth the money if defect free. ... show more
