I really don’t think you can beat this for a great valued assortment of flies. I saw some comments about the quality of the box they come in, sure it’s nothing special but it will absolutely do what it’s there to do and the flies will do their job as well. The husband now has quite a few lures to select from and share with his grandson for this fishing year. The items are very nice and came in a convenient container. I imagine alot of fishing therapy will be enjoyed this summer.

I've caught many bass with these flies. An absolute steal for the price. Multiple 2.5 to 3 pounds bass on those streamers, which are my personal favorite flies in the kit. They are not premium flies, but they get the job done 1000%.

The item is usable. And would probably make a decent purchase for somone who is just getting into the sport, amd who is expecting to lose many flies when they just get started. The flies themselves are.... passable. While they will catch fish, they are not the highest of quality. Thin thread, loose knots, low quality materials, etc. Which, doesn't really matter if you are going to pop them off while the rod around, or breaking them off in trees as a beginner. They will probably catch fish. My biggest gripe is th e quality of the fly box they came in. It is such horrendous quality. It's plastic that is about the thickness and rigidity of a 1 gal milk jug. And it's held closed with 2 tiny magnets. It will not last or hold up to use. I have bought a few (this is my 4th) kit of "120 bulk flies" or what ever you want to call them. I bought them for a friend whose just getting into the sport. So they will function. It's much better to pop off a 25 cent fly over a 4$ fly. Especially if there's a chance it won't even touch the water before it gets lost. This is also the only one that I've seen at this quality. Personally, I won't buy them again. Tl;DR Very low quality. Box is garbage. Ok for beginner, or first trip to the water where you expect to lose more of them. If you do buy them, do yourself a favor. And buy a decent flybox to out them in. ... show more

I have been Trout fishing for over 60 years. One of my favorite methods is fly and a bubble. I recently tested all of the flies in this collection. My requirements were to hook a fish within 3 casts. The lake was well stocked with trout frequently rising. All but three flies passed the test. Many of the flies scored a fish on the first cast. I would definitely recommend this product!
