My sister and BIL already have a Bartesian (the big one), so I already knew I was gonna eventually get one for myself. When the new models came out, the old one went on sale, so I grabbed it up. I don't know what new features are included in the new model, and I don't care (yet). What I love about it is that I can make way more mixed cocktails at home, using my favorite spirits, at a much cheaper price than well cocktails at any bar in NYC, and I don't have to buy all the ingredients to make them. All I need to do is add my favorite spirits. I honestly thought the pods would have a plasticky, "fake" taste, but the finished cocktails taste exactly like the ones I get at my favorite high-end bars, minus the hefty price and tip. One big bonus: I don't really drink straight rum, so I've had two bottles sitting on the shelf, and now I have a reason to use those up. No more wasted booze. The Duet fights right on top of my kitchen counter, so I can easily add water and clean the unit when I need to. As much as I love the four-bottle model, I really don't have the space for it, and I'm kinda sad about that, because I have to switch bottles frequently. I'm also buying two additional bottles so I can have them at the ready, instead of having to empty one out when I wanna make a drink using a spirit I haven't loaded into the unit. Either way, the Duet is still worth 5 stars. Extra points for the Bartesian pods being recyclable, at least in the NYC area (yes, I checked). ... show more

    • A Good Addition to the Bartesian
The Christmas/Winter flavors are probably my favorite. The Holiday Old Fashioned is one of the better old fashions I've had outside of Milwaukee. The cost is the same as ordering from Bartesian. If you don't own a Bartesian, but would like the occasional drink that is mixed kind of light (or strong or regular, I'm not judging) this is a perfect addition to your home. I don't like it as much as when my daughter would mix a drink, but it's very easy to use and has a good variety. ... show more
