The size of the Cal King really does fit a Cal King mattress. The fabric is quite soft. The fabric is not shiny, but has a light, very subtle velvet effect, but is sold in color and does not change color on the bias. It has a nice level of puffiness and it therefore, looks lush. The stitching is thorough enough to ensure the fiber inside will not clump. It washes and dries well on low, bulky settings. There is a bit of wrinkle, but not so much that I can’t live with it. The 20X36 shams fit pillows of the same size and neatly align with the edge of my bed. I purchased the sand color. I would call it ivory. I’m in San Diego and I believe the weight of this comforter is going to be OK year long. ... show more

Terracotta color is gorgeous. It's a deep pumpkin. I got a king for an oversized fit for my deep pocket queen-sized bed and that was definitely the move - my regular queen comforter looks miniature on it. It's simultaneously thick and plush and lightweight. I can tell it will be good for the summer. It is good for the (New York) winter as well, however, I still need a second comforter on top to insulate heat. I love this comforter! It’s really soft and offers good protection against cold, and it doesn’t make me feel too hot during summer! I got the queen size which fits perfectly on my queen bed. Great value for its price and would definitely buy it again if I need another comforter. Beautiful comforter. Well made & lovely fabric but, alas, a little too warm for me, even on bitter cold nites. Climbing into bed was delicious - it wrapped around me like a womb.

This comforter is an incredible deal! It's super warm and medium weight. I wouldn't use it as a summer cover, but it's perfect for chilly Colorado fall nights. With the addition of a light cotton thermal blanket underneath, it'll get me through the winter. Bought for dorm and it’s great, very comfortable and soft. Easy to wash although storage can be a bit difficult simply because im transporting it in a hamper. I will say that the case it comes it is basically useless once the comforter is out of the vacuum seal. Good thickness overall.
