    • Barbie Has Better Real Estate Than I Do
Okay, Barbie is apparently a real estate mogul now because this Dreamhouse is HUGE. 😂 At 43 inches tall with two connected house areas, multiple levels, pools, slides, an elevator, and more than 65 pieces, there is an almost ridiculous amount going on here. This is less "dollhouse" and more "Barbie residential compound." The layout is fantastic for imaginative play because the different areas actually feel distinct. There's a kitchen and dining area, bathroom, bedroom, living spaces, outdoor areas, and plenty of little places to arrange furniture and accessories. I especially like that several dolls can comfortably play in the house at once without everything feeling crowded into a single room. And then there are the slides. Barbie apparently decided one pool slide was insufficient and required TWO. The large translucent pink slide dropping into the blue pool is particularly fun, and the smaller pool area gives you another completely separate setup. The hanging chair is also adorable and adds another interactive element beyond simply arranging furniture. The elevator is a great feature, especially with a house this tall. There are lots of little accessories included for decorating the rooms and creating different scenes, and that's really where a Dreamhouse earns its keep. Kids can rearrange everything, invent stories, move Barbie from room to room, and generally create absolute pink plastic domestic chaos for hours. Assembly obviously takes some time because this thing is enormous, and you'll want to have a permanent spot picked out for it. This is absolutely not a toy you're casually sliding under the bed when playtime is over. Once assembled, the Dreamhouse has basically moved in and become a member of the household. But wow, what a dollhouse. It's colorful, enormous, packed with things to do, and has that unapologetically excessive Barbie energy that makes a Dreamhouse so much fun in the first place. This "dreamhouse" is massive. It takes up a lot of space, especially given the entire thing needs to sit on a surface because the bottom floors have no floor. I like that you can set it up in different configurations, but the plastic itself feels thin and a little flimsy, and once put together the amount of accessories feels underwhelming, especially given the price. Could at least come with some clothes, a doll, or just, you know, floors. ... show more

This dollhouse was a huge hit with my 10 year old daughter and just in time for her birthday! She's had two used Dreamhouses over the years, and it was time for an upgrade. This house did not disappoint. I was dreading assembly, but it was surprisingly easy to put together. The two of us put it together in about 40 minutes, and the instructions were straightforward and easy enough for us to follow. I also like that the stickers are thicker and much easier to place than the those thin ones I remember when I was growing up. The house itself is huge and packed with fun interactive features. Batteries are required for sound, and those were not included. The elevator is a favorite, and we like that the pool house can either be connected to the main house or be moved around to create different layouts. It takes up a good amount of floor space, so definitely make sure you have enough room for it before purchasing. I know these houses are expensive, but you get what you pay for, and for the quality of the house, it's 100% worth it to me! These last for many years, provide hundreds of hours of play, and are great quality, and durable. My only complaint is that for the price, I do think the house should have included a bottom floor. It's not a deal breaker but I would have preferred that it had one. My daughter absolutely loves it and has been playing with it nonstop. It's a fun dollhouse with thoughtful features, easy assembly, and endless play. I would definitely purchase this again and I highly recommend to any Barbie lover. ... show more

This was supposed to be for my grand daughter’s birthday. It showed up just like the pictures show. I bought new, it was definitely returned before and resold. Beyond disappointed!

If you get this as a gift, be careful! It ships in the product box itself, so if your kid sees it delivered, it will ruin the surprise. That being said, my niece absolutely loves this. It is absolutely massive, and the photos don't do it justice. There are several rooms, and this has kept her happy and entertained for hours at a time for weeks. There's tons of scenarios and things to do with it :) It didn't take long to put together at all. She enjoyed doing it, with a little help from me. It's good quality I think - I've seen other comments about the plastic being flimsy, and maybe it is? But she hasn't said anything, so it's not an issue in my opinion ... show more
