I use this tool to aerate my 5 gallon compost bucket as there are no holes in the bucket. I add food waste about once a month. Then I need to turn every other day for the first week or so, then about once a week. The aerator works really well to ensure decomposing vegetation isn't stuck rotting on the bottom. It distributes all the moisture nicely as well as fly larvae and other bugs so the waste gets broken down quickly. The only negative is that it will spear any larger pieces of veg not cut down. I just turned my compost and an entire head of garlic got stuck as well as half a lemon. I'll wait a couple days until they dry out and are easier to remove. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I have used it to plant three baby trees, and was using it today to till up some ground and the spike bent. It was only my fifth time using it and it bent so I’m a little disappointed. Would recommend if it didn’t break, the spike is facing down making it significantly harder to turn ... show more
