I love buying from “mom and pop shops.” For the price, unfinished, this is exactly what I wanted. The pros: packaging was immaculate. The paper used, folded around the two shelves. The hardware tucked in the groove. The instructions on NICE paper. It feels like a mass produced product but with a personal touch. Cons: it’s pine and still not dried. The boards are already warped and bowing. If you’re OCD about that, this isn’t for you. Got a planer? Plane it in a year. The hardware is there. Go to Home Depot and cut a new piece of wood and get a router for the back. Hardware included are just some toggles. They work, but something with a flatter surface area touching the reverse side of the drywall would make better contact and better long term grip. The edges of these toggles are sharp and will just cut into the inner layer reducing its structural integrity sooner. Will need to swap hardware likely if looking for long term install with any significant weight. Finished mine with linseed oil to match other elements in my house. It’s in my kid’s bathroom. I don’t care if it gets ripped off the wall in two years. But for what it is and for the fact that most “quality” competitors are 2-3x the price, this is perfect for quick and dirty installs. ... show more

I bought four of these to use in the bathroom and get rid of the ugly metal shelf over the toilet. These are much more appealing and easily support the small items on them. Make sure you have a level that is at least 24” long. The instructions are very detailed and well written. I had used my level before to hang photos with two anchors but the idea of marking the level and transferring the marks to the wall where the anchors need to go is a very good idea. I’m not a huge fan of the butterfly anchors they include but they do work and I used them for two of the four shelfs I purchased. I like the screw in drywall anchors but with even the heavy duty (50 lb) ones I can see how the butterfly anchors included are superior. They are just a little more difficult to install in my opinion. The shelf supports are well designed and easy to adjust with some wiggle room if you don’t install the anchors perfectly level. The wood shelves are nicely finished and again just look so much better than those wire/metal shelves. Looking around the house to see where I can use more of these. ... show more

I purchased 2 of these shelves to hang for plants/decor. The quality of the shelf itself is amazing! I love that it’s real wood and the metal brackets are not hollow. The mounting system seemed more difficult than it actually was. Just go slow and use your level. The way the bracket matched up with the stud, I had to use two of the drywall mounting toggles for each shelf. I got it done just fine but I do not feel like the hardware for drywall install is very sturdy. I would do yourself a favor and purchase another drywall anchor that can support some weight. If you’re drilling into the stud, then you don’t have to worry about it. The only other complaint is I would’ve preferred they sent some type of paper template or even a sticker template to mark exactly where the holes should be. The easiest way I did it was to put a piece of tape over the mounts while they were inserted into the shelf and marked the holes with a sharpie. I then put that on the wall and used my level. It worked just fine but would prefer to skip that step and have it provided. Other than that, these shelves are absolutely gorgeous and I would definitely purchase again! ... show more

    • Very Nice Shelf BUT... Toggle Bolts are very low quality

Beautiful chunk of solid wood and a very, very sturdy mounting bracket system. This would be 5 stars if it were not for the very low quality fastening hardware. I did not have any wall studs to fasten brackets too, so I needed to use the toggle bolts provided. One toggle bolt would not fully tighten due to defect in threads, so when you back the bolt out you lose the butterfly toggle down the wall. A second toggle bolt simple would not tighten since it stripped the nut in the toggle as it was being tightened, again, a second toggle lost down the wall. This is a 2 shelf set, so 8 toggle bolts would be needed with no studs to fasten into. I see now why they provided 10 total toggle bolts. I used more heavy duty toggle bolts I had on hand with no issues. Please provide better fasteners commensurate with the price tag of these shelves. ... show more

What a SUPER QUALITY product! From the welcome letter to the quality packing and materials, BEST product we have come across. In review of the instruction sheet, do not miss the installation video link. Did not see it initially as it is tucked in the upper left and corner of the info sheet. VERY HELPFUL! Nonetheless, the instruction sheet was self explanatory. Only feedback would be to revisit the alligator clips used to hold the clamp to the wall. There are other options available (which were used). I have never had luck with them. Overall, you cant go wrong with this product! ... show more

Love these shelves, the wood is beautiful! Not gonna lie they were a challenge to install. I think the best way to install is really to drill your own hole in the back of the shelves so it aligns with a stud. That would be ideal. But I made it work as is and am super happy with them!

You can tell the wood shelves are real and crafted beautifully to compliment any style room. We were really impressed to notice the quality right away. I like how the instructions offer more than one way to mount into the wall. We decided to opt for the dry wall screws since we’re renting and can’t really afford to put a sizable hole in the wall. Would recommend this mounting method if you’re just gonna keep light things on it. Otherwise super study and looks great with our decor! ... show more
