  • Replenishing my First Aid Kit
Size: 2 Count (Pack of 1)
I had to use scotch tape to secure gauze and it didn't work very well! I should have replenished long ago.

  • Not Great
Size: 2 Count (Pack of 1)
This isn't the best paper tape I've tried. Best thing I can say is that it doesn't irritate my skin. The adhesion isn't the best, I've had to overlap areas and you better have it in the right spot the first time because it will tear the gauze if you have to move it, wasting both gauze and tape. So I was conflicted about the number of stars to give that. ... show more

  • Good for adhesive allergies
Size: 2 Count (Pack of 1)
This is the ONLY tape that my skin will tolerate when my adhesive allergy flares up. I don't normally have an allergy to adhesive, but I've had several surgeries, which required bandaids or other adhesive bandaging to be put over the same area for 2 weeks or more -- that is when I develop a nasty skin reaction to something in bandaids (any brand, even those labeled "latex free") and other types of tape. I've been told that it is probably something in the adhesive itself that I'm reacting to (surgeons see this fairly regularly) -- but they never know exactly what it is that I'm having the allergic reaction to. It doesn't really matter, either -- I just have to stop using all bandaid type bandages. But to continue covering the surgical incision until enough healing has occurred, I was stuck once not knowing what to use, and a nurse recommended "paper tape" -- I hadn't ever really used it before, though I'd had it used when giving blood, for tests, etc., on occasion. This paper tape is definitely the gentlest choice -- it is the only adhesive tape, bandage, etc., that my skin doesn't react to. Now, if things got bad fast and my skin had quickly developed blisters where a band aid had been used, I can't use this either, since obviously that is broken skin -- but for just general itchiness and irritation of the area, this works for me. It's worth a try if you're having similar issues. This tape also doesn't hurt much when removing it -- it is painless or nearly so, depending on how sensitive your skin is. Bandaids can get MUCH stronger and very stuck on the skin when they get sweaty or have just been on for several hours -- this tape doesn't seem to increase in adhesion that way, so it's not difficult or painful to remove under those same conditions. The only negatives are that it does tend to leave some sticky residue behind, especially if it is in a warmer area or left on longer (also I think the tape gets a little stickier/messier if it's a few years old, or has been in a car's first aid kit -- no big surprise. But it still works, even when stored in less than ideal conditions.). The residue can usually be cleaned off the skin pretty easily with baby oil (or even olive or other cooking oil, which is gentle on the skin). Paper tape is also not going to perform well in the water, so it's not ideal on hands that will be washed...and it's not going to obviously perform as well under a lot of "stress" -- such as flexing, bending, stretching. It's not flexible -- or, to be more accurate, it doesn't stretch. The only alternative I've found to this paper tape when my skin is very flared up is Tegaderm, a clear film -- that's what I have to resort to if it's a situation where paper tape won't cut it, like if I'm instructed to apply a waterproof bandage over an incision before showering. Paper tape isn't waterproof -- Tegaderm is the only waterproof product I've found that also isn't irritating. It's a little more difficult to manage, and harder to find (Amazon has it). So that's a suggestion for times you need a waterproof or more stretchy solution. ... show more

  • Doesn't stick :(
Size: 2 Count (Pack of 1)
Most tape didn't stick to my child's neck. And for those that actually stayed in place, it gave him allergy when I took the tape off after half a day...

  • There are better choices.
Size: 2 Count (Pack of 1)
I depends on what you are going to use it for. It has zero staying power. We used it in the hospital on the elderly as silk tape is much stronger and will bruise, tear or ripe the skin. This will not pull or tear upon removing it from anywhere. It isn't something you would buy say to apply a pressure dressing or to keep a dressing in place unless your patient is comatose. Most movement will release this tape. It is what you would expect from paper tape. I prefer silk tape because it has super staying power. That's just me. If you are in search of paper tape specifically, this is good quality. ... show more

  • Excellent for Holding Gauze Dressings in Place!
Size: 2 Count (Pack of 1)
We began using Band-Aid Paper Tape last summer after my husband's thyroid surgery. Band-Aid Paper Tape holds the gauze dressing place and doesn't hurt as much when removing! Loved that this came with two rolls.

I bought this tape post surgery to keep gauze in place. The tape does not stick at all. I tried all various ways to apply it and nothing worked it just kept falling off. I wouldn’t buy again
