The media could not be loaded. Read to the end and I will explain easily how to use this awesome stuff!! Unlike medical tape, this allows your skin to breathe beneath it, but locks water and dirt out. I wear 2 medical devices for type 1 diabetes and in Texas summer heat, it is a lifesaver. My insulin pump and continuous glucose monitor (checks my bloodsugar for me rather than sticking my fingers all day for meter checks). Any medical equipment or medication patches will stay put for days and days, even in tough conditions of water, sweating, etc., and the best part of all is that this tape is as thin as skin and will NOT pull skin off with it. First, Cut the length of tape needed. Next, look at the sides opposite the "zipper" in the center and there is approx a half inch where you can hold the sides of the tape to position it. Then, peel off the white backing while holding those non-sticky sides and position the zipper over area to cover, sticky-side down. Finally, peel the 2 zipper pieces away from the center and lightly smooth the tape down and VOILA! ... show more

Absolutely the best bandage for road rash. Took a header off my bike going about 25 MPH into asphalt and gravel. Banged up from head to toe with a variety or cuts, bruises, scrapes, and nasty road rash (which is like a scrape but bigger and deeper). Tried to patch up with gauze and bandaids and medical tape and such - which was just a mess. Gauze stuck to the wounds, leaked through, hurt my skin and at the same time didn't stay adhered to the right places. Tegaderm - goes on easily, stays put even in water (through swim workouts, showers, baths, etc.), keeps wounds clean and dry. In more mobile parts - such as the palm of your hand - you may need to replace on a daily basis because nothing is going to stick there perfectly. On flatter and less mobile parts - side of leg for instance, the Tegaderm can last several days. My wounds healed nice and flat, no bumps, no hypertropic scars, no keloids, no infection. The roll form is ideal because you can cut as little or as much as you need. This is also by far less expensive than buying the same product at the drug store (which doesn't sell roles - only over priced little square pieces for $30 for 6 tiny squares). Any active person should have this stuff on hand for patching themselves back together after mishaps. ... show more

I have been using this product for at least seven years. I apply it over all skin related injuries, including cuts, burns, scrapes, and bedsores. In every case, the injury healed quickly without leaving a scar. Twice I cut my finger all the way to the bone. Had I gone to the emergency room, costly, painful stitches would have been applied, healing would have been slow, and a scar would have resulted. Instead of doing that, I immediately applied peroxide to the injured skin and applied this tape securely across the cut, pulling the cut edges of the skin securely together. I did not remove the tape for at least 3 to 5 days and continued all normal activities with no pain and no harm to the injury. When I removed the tape, the injury was completely healed and left no scar! It truly is an amazing product! It comes in many sizes, so pick the size that best fits your needs. I like this strip tape because I can easily cut it to whatever size I need. While in a VA hospital, my 93-year-old father developed very painful bedsoresl. I asked the nurses to apply this product to the bedsores. They thought I was crazy, but did as I asked. Several hours later, I asked my father if the tape was working. He said, he didn't know because he couldn't feel anything! I laughed and said if you can't feel the bedsores it means the tape is working! He never had any more pain from the bedsores and they completely healed within a short period of time. The nurses were so impressed with how effective this tape was that they actually had a Director of Nurses meeting at his bedside to personally look at and confirm that this tape was responsible for immediately stopping the pain from his bedsores and allowing them to quickly heal. ... show more

Love this tegaderm by-the-role. Up until now, I've used the 4"x6" and although it's great, if you have a smaller wound and want to apply a smaller patch, you'd have to cut up the 4"x 6", which made it incredibly difficult to apply. But this 2" wide roll is the PERFECT remedy. It's easy to use, and you can even cut it down the middle vertically for a 1"x(whatever size you need). Right now I'm nursing a quarter-sized 3rd degree burn (inner forearm run in with the tip of a heat gun), and this tape allows me to keep it properly dressed without having to have a big bandage on it that attracts attention (people always ask what you did, don't they?" With tegaderm, you barely notice anything. Definitely worth the money. ... show more

This stuff is amazing. It’s clearly a high quality professional medical product, so it’s not cheap. But this roll lasts a really long time, and one piece can last days instead of hours. I am a cook and gardener and constantly get small to medium burns, cuts, scrapes, etc., mostly on my hands. Even the expensive cloth band aids will fall off if you’re doing something with your hands and/or washing them multiple times especially, on areas that move like fingers or the back of the hand. This stuff, applied properly, is legitimately waterproof and stays put until you decide to pull it off or start vigorously washing around the edges with soap. Stick it directly on an open wound and it seals it from air/water/accidental contact which pretty much stops the pain and allows you to stop thinking about it entirely. ... show more
