I'm actually really impressed with this costume, especially for the price! The thing is- I'm REALLY fussy with costumes, especially the overpriced junk you get at a Halloween store that might last one wear (if your lucky). I guess I figured this would be a cheep felt banana suit, thrown together haphazardly (again, especially considering the price!), but when this arrived I was actually blown away because this is SO MUCH BETTER than anything you can get in a costume shop! The banana suit arrived quick, neatly folded and packed in a large, sturdy plastic zipper bag. There were no unusual or unpleasant odors upon arrival and there were no signs of staining either. It was literally in perfect condition. The outer (colorful) and inner (white) material is a semi shiny polyester. It's smooth, soft and doesn't wrinkle terribly when it's worn. I wouldn't necessarily say the costume is foam, but there is definitely something between the layers that gives it some volume (it's NOT flat!). There is also a mesh liner on the inside, the part that goes against your skin. That can be a bit scratchy/annoying at first- depending on if it's directly on the skin or if you have something on underneath. It's actually REALLY nice! A LOT better than I was expecting for sure! There is a bit of weight to the suit, but I feel like that's mostly due to the size (it's long and generously sized). I wouldn't go as far to say this is heavy though (it just isn't cheep/cheep feeling). It's easy to wear this for hours without feeling fatigued. It's somewhat breathable (despite the polyester) and you can get a nice little draft through the arm holes, but I wouldn't want to wear this around for hours on a 85F + day or anything as it can get a bit warm. The quality/construction is simple, but very clean. All of the stitching, surges, seams, hems, and material cuts are all strong, sturdy (this isn't going to fall apart, even after several wears/washes!) even and well done. There are no loose or rogue threads. You also wont find any poorly clipped stitches or bunches of thread anywhere. The brown stem at the top is lined up well with the other brown pannels and the zipper works well. As for the size- The large is definitely big enough to fit a grown man! On a shorter person, the large almost reaches the floor (but doesn't drag. The suit is spacious inside and doesn't feel too tight or constrictive. I would recommend any adult (or even bigger tween) order the large. A few other cute notes I want to mention... I love the addition of the 'I am Banana' sticker! I mean, yes...that's obvious, but the color and print match the well known banana brand's stickers well. I'm sure due to copyrights that wouldn't be allowed on here, so what IS here is a pretty cute/adorable consolation. You can actually 'peel' the suit from the top so it looks like a peeled banana! There is a little (hidden, white) zipper up on the top that you can unzip so you look peeled open. The part underneath is just plain white (it's also the part that goes over your head and keeps the costume on), so it doesn't look exactly like a banana. We ended up using a beige watercolor marker (and water) to give the head piece (that you can see when it's peeled) some banana details. I know this is a costume and not the real thing, but that addition was really easy and made it look a lot cuter. This is actually washable! I turned the costume inside out and tossed it in a delicate cycle/cool water. It did come out a bit wrinkly, but I hung it up to dry (it was already quite dry after spinning) and most of the wrinkles fell out. After a little steamer treatment, it looked perfect again. This suit really surprised me! It's great quality, super fun and a lotto win price!

If you are in the market for a giant banana costume, then this one is perfect! It is comfortable to wear and fit me well (I'm 6'2", 210lbs). The costume is stitched well and made of a durable felt material. The zippers were a little sticky at first but loosened up after a few uses. They also seem a little frail so be careful when unzipping. The suit looks very funny when worn. Great value for the money.

This banana costume is a perfect fun costume for Halloween! My daughter's nickname is Banana so she loves it! Shes 11 and about 5'0 or 5'1 and the small fit her well. The "sticker" is really funny! There is a white layer underneath too. This is a good value and anybody would be a hit at a costume party wearing this banana!

Most costumes like this have a foam type material in it. I will say that if you are built like a furnace, you might get a bit warm in it if you wear it for a while. I can see this being a last minute costume for a Halloween party or if a friend didn’t bring a costume this would be a backup. The sticker tag is a nice touch. As shown in the photo, the blushing cheeks are more pink. :)

Costume is so much fun. I got it to wear to a Savannah bananas game. I didn’t wear it, because it was too hot and muggy and I am old and cannot take the heat anymore. But I did see other people at the stadium wearing a similar costume. The fit is good. I love the I am a banana at the bottom of banana to identify that you are a banana. Great costume, great fit, and a great value. Would make a fun gift as well.
