    • Was okay sounding, then after 6 months, mouthpiece cracked, without any abuse or accident.

If you don't have large hands, it may be difficult to play because the holes are fairly far apart. I have other, smaller flutes that I can play much faster and easier. This one sounded great until the mouthpiece cracked, without knocking it or any abuse. Now it only plays if you barely breathe into it, which is too quiet and not right. I think it is bamboo, and bamboo cracks sometimes when it dries out. It is very dry where I live, so that is probably why it cracked. I've had others crack, but they still worked. Not this one. If you live in a fairly humid environment, it may not crack. I miss it. It sounded great when it was new. ... show more

FEELING LUCKY! Long on shipping. Understandable coming from China. Mine arrived perfect condition & sounds great! Good deal for the money. The craftsmanship is very good. (My advice is keep it in a humidifier box) Bamboo tends to crack if dried out.
