Make practicing gymnastics safer

The thickness is decent and the support is good. Using for aerials and spinning kicks and it definitely helps a ton with impact. You may want to find something like rug grips or similar for the bottom of it or use weights to help hold it down though as it will slip around on smooth surfaces quite a bit. A lot of issues with it too that don't necessarily affect the functionality, but don't make it great either, especially for the price. First one I got, admittedly 'used' from Amazon Warehouse had rips on the side. The description of the used condition was 'Used - Very good: may not come in original packaging.' Some others specifically mentioned damage while this one didn't so while I was expected used, I wasn't expecting the rips. Have gotten stuff from Amazon Warehouse before in the past and had good experience, this wasn't one of them. The rips did highlight that the material wasn't all that thick. I didn't want to bother with the hassle of returns so kept it and just taped up the rips and it hasn't gotten worse or developed new rips at least. I would make sure toe nails are clipped though. So if you are buying used, beware it may have more issues than they mention. I won't risk that again. The other issue is that the cover is not wrapped tightly around the foam. It bubbles up at bit at some places and isn't ideal. Admittedly, the 2nd one I purchased was a bit better about this, though it still could have been better stretched overall. Bigger issue is the inconsistency between the two I bought. One is a full inch shorter in overall length. Also a bit easier to overlook, but the thickness seemed a few millimeters off between the two as well. Not sure if they changed the manufacturing process or sourced it from a different location or something, but the difference is a bit annoying for my slight OCD nature. I bought them about a month or so apart. Close enough and I don't want to deal with the hassle of returns/exchanges that probably wouldn't make a difference. If you plan to buy multiple, do it all at once and hope for the best I guess. I have seen some other reviews mention this issue. Velcro'n two together holds well and they won't come apart or anything so no concerns there. Given the price of these mats, the quality control is rather disappointing, but if you can overlook that, it's does get the job done.

I ordered the purple mat. It is a great surface for my two year old granddaughter to play on both flat or folded. It folds easily and is easy and lightweight to move from room to room using the loop handles.I’ll order a second mat when she is older to attach with the Velcro strips. The box was torn but no big deal. The mat seems tough.

The mat itself is great no issues there. Boxes were super cheap cardboard and didn't survive luckily it's a super durable mat so no big deal. Highly recommended at the lower price.
