I have very bad lower back issues. I could never do any floor exercises. I've tried every type of yoga mat/exercise mat and they were all too think or mushy. This one is extra firm but enough to be able to do sit ups or any other floor exercises and for once in my life I can do them without feeling any discomfort in my back. Quality seems to be 6 out of 10. Hopefully this lasts me a few years. If it does I will buy another one. So far extremely happy! I recommend this product. ... show more

Okay, full disclosure. I did buy this to take on a trip to sleep on. I tried it out at home and it was too hard. But it's an excellent exercise matt if you don't like feeling the floor under you when you're up on your elbows or knees. It still went on the trip, but I got the 2" folding sleeping mattress, and between the two (hard one on the bottom for support, soft one on top for comfort) I slept really well. My back won't let me sleep on random mattresses (hotels, friends' beds, couches). Doing this helps me get a good night's sleep and not have any back issues when I'm traveling. ... show more
