I ordered this for my 6 year old son because his sister's step brother is obsessed with them and he's been dying for some of his own. This set is actually a really good value considering what you get when compared to buying the items included separately. It was a bit larger than I thought it would be which wasn't an issue but keep in mind it does take up a bit of table or floor space while in use. It needs to solid flat surface to set the arena on so make sure you clear a spot.. The material seems relatively sturdy compared to similar items like the BeyBlade arenas and I definitely feel like it will hold up better if your child plays a little rough like mine does. In all honesty the whole thing was a little confusing to me as far as how it actually worked but I didn't actually read the instructions. My son already had a general idea but couldn't set it up alone. My husband stepped in and was able to very quickly decipher the directions and got him up and going in no time. Full set up was less than 5 minutes so it's not at all overly complicated if you're good with directions. I would still say younger children will need help with assembly and loading the beads from an adult but I think children who are around 10 years old could probably do it by themselves without any real intervention, so if you don't enjoy spending hours putting together toys then this is a great option! There are small parts that could be a choking hazard and I would say its probably not going to be much fun for kids under 6. Probably most appealing and appropriate for kids ages 7-11 My son spent a good 30 minutes playing with it and messing around with it before he started to get distracted which is really impressive to me because he has a short attention span. Anything that can hold his attention for 10 minutes or more is an automatic win in my book and even after he began to get bored he was still carrying around the little peices and using them to play with his other toys. He also liked putting his hotwheels in the arena and playing with them in it so I can definitely see this becoming a part of his everyday play even if he doesn't use it exactly the way intended. All that being said I would definitely consider this a win and given the option would absolutely purchase this product for him again. Highly reccomend if you have a child that enjoys items like this. It will keep them entertained for many hours from what I've seen and seems like it will be durable enough to handle the play for quite awhile. ... show more
