I am a child of the pre skinny jeans era and when jeans were cotton with zero spandex in them. I am sick of skin tight jeans that you struggle to get in and out of, that are so tight in the thighs and calves you practically have to hitch them up like a pair of heavy panty hose. As tight as they are though within an hour you are constantly hitching them up because the butt and waist have stretched out and they get pulled down each step you take. If you have a belly roll the jeans roll down and under that belly and hike it up like a lift bra making your bulge spill over the waist of the jeans while the rest of the jeans are sagging towards the bottom of your bum. Day after day after day... So I began looking for a pair of jeans that you don't have to do a snake dance to get on and that were only cotton - nothing but cotton. It seems only men get that luxury and that may be on the way out because the spandex is making its way into men's jeans too. Who wants to stop and wiggle back into your jeans tens of times a day or wear an extra long and loose shirt so you don't have to embarrass yourself pulling them up and let the shirt deal with the butt crack peeking out? Not me. I didn't find 100% cotton women's jeans, these have the spandex in them too. However they are a very flatteringly high waisted and loose in the hip and thigh so when the stretch out inevitably happens your thighs and butt aren't dragging them down. Positives for this jean: The high waist is flattering due to better tummy control/ roll control. There is no muffin top to be found in these. You can wear better fitted shirts because you don't have to worry about your tummy rolling out or your butt crack to make an badly timed appearance. Unlike men with bellies, I do not want to size my waist at the hip under the belly and wear a belt to keep them up. Ewww. Another positive is that the wide leg drops at the hip which is flattering to your behind and makes the appearance of wide hips or saddle bags. You do not have to fight to get in or out of these jeans, which is not only pleasant but is an added safety feature. Negatives: They still have spandex and the waist does loosen. I wear a size 14 and these seem a little big to me. I would suggest buying your size and the next lowest size. Try the lower size on for a day and see if the stretch into comfort and not into needing a belt. It's too late to return mine, but I am ok with that because I like them that much. The other thing I do not like is they run long. I am 5' 5 1/2 and they drag on the ground. They have a very wide hem so hemming them up would be a task but doable. I am a child of the 70's and back then we just let them drag and fray and that was part of the big bell experience. I am retired and don't have a fashion statement to make so I just let them drag, or roll them up once. For thinner girls other than the stretch out they will look and feel awesome and if your long legged you have found your perfect jeans.

Let’s face it they’re not going to look as good on my body type as a skinny jean but they’re trendy and I am a bit of a fashion victim, they are the most comfortable jeans you will ever wear they are a nice perfect softer denim they hang nice the leg and the highway stood so they make your arse look long and flat lol But overall for comfort and running around and try and I gave them two thumbs up oh and by the way I am 150 pounds and I’m 5 foot six and I bought a size large and the kind of faded denim. So for me this is the first time ever buying a high waisted pair of jeans and I have to tell you guys no pinching of the belly and by golly do I have a belly that’s why I carry all my weight so for that I think they’re probably the best jeans I’ve ever put on because they come an inch above the navel , The zipper and just at the top of my navel I’m for that oh my God the comfort like that like sweatpants I could live in them. So if you’re looking for a nice trying to pair of jeans and you know just put away the skinny jeans for a break I definitely recommend these

I ordered the washed black/gray color. I really liked the color. I also really like that they're true to size as well as the fact that they're super high-rise. They have a 12-in rise, which I discovered I really like for wearing with crop tops. For me personally, I like that I expose less skin that way. Anyhow, I decided to return these because I wasn't completely in love with how they look on me. As others have mentioned, the material is a tiny bit on the stiffer side which means they don't sit in as flattering of a way as it does in the pictures. I wish they draped more loosely down the legs rather than stiff edges. I'm going to try a pair in a different color with distressing to see if it fits any more to my liking. It may also be that I don't wear jeans like this and I'm just not used to how it looks on me. I do wish they were more fitted in the butt so it was more flattering on the booty. These look good with platform sneakers, but I didn't care for how they looked with ankle boots. They're very comfortable, but I kinda wish they were in inch or two longer. I'm 5'7", 123lbs, and 27" waist. The size small fit perfectly without being too tight. The waist was 13.5" across on the size small. UPDATE: I ordered a pair in the sky blue color with distressing. The material is much softer and sits better. More like the stock picture. I like the feel and look of this pair better than the washed gray jeans, but I ultimately decided to return them because I like the gray color better and would be more inclined to wear that color with my wardrobe. I also think I'm just not used to wearing this style of jeans and feel a little bit self-conscious about how they look on me. Which is a bummer because they're very comfortable and I still like how they look with crop tops. My only concern with the sky blue pair is since the material is softer and more flexible, I'm not sure the durability/longevity of it. But since they won't stretch out like skinny jeans do, I think it would be just fine. Also, I found the sizing between the two colors to be fairly consistent. 12" rise, 14" waist, 31" inseam, and 10.5" ankle opening.

Finally a pair of jeans that are truly high rise. I ordered a small and I am 5'7" 130 lbs. I have a long rise and so many high rise jeans aren't really high rise on me. These jeans have a 12" rise and are 30" long. They are perfect with a crop top and flat sandals for summer. I ordered "blue" and received "light blue". I'm a little confused by the colors but the ones I received have just the right amount of fading in the right places - not big white splotches on the behind as some of the jeans seem to have in the pictures. They are cute, comfortable and flattering. I'll probably order more. UPDATE: I ordered 2 more pairs of the same color and size and they weren't the same as the first pair I received. One fit much larger in the hips and there was to much material bunching in the crotch area and the second pair were slightly larger and the fading was horrible - large white spots on the back upper thighs. Not attractive at all. I guess i got lucky with the first pair. Still very disappointed there's no consistency and I'll be sending these back. If I find jeans I like, I typically get two pairs. Oh well, I'll need to be satisfied with one pair this time. UPDATE #2: I decided to give it one more attempt to get the same jeans I received the first time and it worked! It took 3 additional pairs (I sent two pairs back) to get jeans that were like the first pair that I love. They are the same flattering fit and color (with no weird overly faded splotches)! So happy I gave it one more try.

I LOVE these jeans. They are very well made and soooooo soft and comfy, but not so lightweight as to be super drapey. They are cut on the long side - I'd estimate a 34" inseam - which is great for tall girls like me. (I'm 5'8".) The pocket could be slightly smaller to better accentuate the booty, but other than that, I adore everything about these jeans and its simple design. My only complaint (which has nothing to do with the jean itself) is that it's not available in an XS. My waist and hip measurement are 24" and 34", respectively, so there too much gapping in the areas and the whole sillouette is slightly too sloppy, even for a skater style. For anybody out there that wears American Eagle brand jeans (raising hand), I would say these are equivalent to an AE size 2 since I normally wear a 00 extra-long in their bottoms. Even though these don't fit me perfectly, I'll probably keep them for wearing around the house since they're so damn comfy and don't restrict my movement in any way - LITERALLY as comfy as leggings, IMO!

I was so excited as I unpacked. The fabric is buttery soft and actually stretchy which I was very happy about. The high waist is so flattering. The color is not exactly black, is more like a washed dark gray, but I was ok with that. However, the deal breaker for me was that I’m very particular about how my jeans fit at the hem. I know that inseams between 30” or 31” will look great with platform shoes like Ugg’s or crocs and that’s why I ordered them. I’m 5’6 and I ordered a large size so when I put them on, I realized the inseam was a lot shorter. I measured the inseam and they’re actually 29”, not 30.3” as advertised. So when they are on and the hips, legs and waist fill them up, and they move/ride up as you walk, they look even shorter than 29”. They feel great on, but when I look down at my ankles I look like I’m wearing high waters. I would have given 5 stars if the inseam was what was advertised. If the inseam advertised was the actual 29” I would not have bought them.

I wanted to love these so bad! Ordered a large and the waist fit but was too big and ill fitting right below the waist band on down. I ordered the Medium in hopes they would work. The fit was great everywhere but the waist. Arghh. No stretch in the waist itself but great stretch everywhere else. So disappointed.
