My neighborhood is from the 50’s and we all have chain link fencing. We are not allowed to take it down or to weave slats into it…HOWEVER…it appears to be ok to put this beautiful bamboo fence roll on the chainlink. I used tan heavy duty plastic wire ties for now but I will change over to real wire before summer ends for longer life. It looks just beautiful! I used a 2x4 up against the fence to balance the bamboo on to keep up off the ground until lashed to the chainlink, then moved the board down the line until all the bamboo was installed. I’ll keep saving up for more until my whole yard is done. I love the look! The bamboo was beautiful and sturdy right out of the box, very easy for this 65 yr. Old lady to install by myself.the hardest part for muscling the box full of bamboo to the fence line. It heavy stuff. I went with natural which was so beautiful. This will make such a nice back drop for my new landscaping I am slowly installing. I added a before photo to show how little privacy I had before adding the bamboo roll fencing. ... show more

Very easy to roll out and set up. See photo. Bamboo is thick reeds which is what I wanted. Rolled it out and simply attached to the wrought iron flower trellis. Construction is very good. Upon opening the box and rolling it out, there was quite a bit of dirt and/or some sort of musty bamboo shavings so that was a little weird LOL. So there is a slight gap in between each reed, so it's not completely private. See photo, there's about a quarter to an eighth of an inch gap which is why I gave it 4 stars and not 5. I'm probably going to buy a thin bamboo screen for the back of it so I can enjoy complete privacy from my neighbor's deck. Overall, it is a good buy, but sort of pricey. ... show more

These are a great quality. I saw reviews about them mildewing. They. My friend has these for privacy by her pool. She bleached then sealed them. I sealed them immediately after opening the box bc I learned from her mistake. Also I saw reviews about them cracking when screwing into them and coming out of the box cracked. I have some cracked pieces. But tbh. It’s bamboo. They’re gonna crack naturally. So I didn’t mind that they were. And they weren’t major cracks. Luckily the few that were cracked were near the end and I cut about 1.5’ off each section. Predrill the holes like the video says to do. If you do that before screwing into them and then screwing them in slowly you’ll hear sounds but they’re not actually cracking. I know my project isn’t the typical use of these but they look amazing and keep the blazing hot sun from shining in my new screened in room. ... show more

Previously purchased over 20 bamboo rolls from Home Depot and Lowe's, all of which were great. This was cheap, thin, many large spaces between the stems. Only usable for behind plants where you can't see it. NOT A QUALITY PRODUCT.

I intended to put this on a 8' wide fence gate on the side of my house. I have used the thin type of fencing in the past and unfortunately I didn't realise how heavy this 1" fencing would be. I used it on a section of my fence instead. It is uniformly attractive and very sturdy. If it wasn't so expensive I would cover the perimeter of my backyard with it. Excellent product. ... show more

Basically, the fence panel looks good, but there is a big variation in size of the bamboo poles. Some (maybe 10%) are 3/4".....the rest are smaller. Not really much of a privacy screen.... I added brown shade cloth to the back side and that helped. Nice, heavy wire holding the poles together.
