Honestly the one star reviews almost stopped me from buying this crib. I spent hours researching forums and reading reviews and kept seeing things about putting it together, paint chipping, mattress size, etc. I wanted to bust a few myths: 1. I’m 21 weeks pregnant. I put this together by myself. It took me 25 minutes. 2. You don’t need babyletto’s mattress or a newton for this. I purchased a well-reviewed $30 mini crib mattress and it fits GREAT. Just read specs ahead of time. 3. Paint was in great condition, so far no chips, and it folds great. It looks great too. Baby isn’t here yet for me to test functionality but I’ll update this if anything goes south. ... show more

Pros: Beautiful green color Smooth painted surfaces with no sharp edges Mattress comfortable, baby slept great with a flannel type sheet with baby blanket underneath to minimize crinkle sound. Height good for a 5ft mom in upper position to transfer sleeping baby Fits easily through our doorway of our bedroom, moves from bed to living room in our house daily Cons: Wheels ok, but stem holder hardware in the crib legs became loose after almost 3 months of moving the crib from carpeted bedroom to laminate floor and down a hall daily. They did not break off but we didn't like them becoming looser. We did not contact manufacturer. This might not be typical expected use but it was also not excessive or rough treatment. For a couple of weeks we tried to tighten loose wheels but instead decided to install replacement casters as it was the wood around the stem hardware getting loose. Bought: 2 in. "Black Soft Rubber and Copper Swivel Plate Caster with 80 lb. Load Rating (2-Pack), 2 packs. Cut two 3 and 15/16" long blocks screwed behind legs, then put castors across both on the bottom. Great purchase! Directions very clear, put it together myself in three hours. Folds up great and doesn’t take up a lot of space! Bought mattress from my other site as the one that came with was very thin and more like a playpen mattress.

Me and my brother built this for my nephew, it took us about an hour or so to build it all. There was only one time we got stuck on the instructions which get a little weird at times, but other then that, it's the perfect crib for when the baby's over!

The bed is super cute and a wonderful color. However, there were almost a dozen chips in the paint and dents all over the bed. We tried to hide them all by flipping the sides with imperfections to the bottom part of the bed during assembly, however, this did not hide them all.
