  • So convenient
Color: Coast Infinite
Excellent quality, supportive, easy to use, very convenient with a newborn!

  • Great carrier for older infants
Color: Coast Indigo
Our baby loves this carrier. We choose this model from Tula because of the option to carry baby facing outward. We were carrying him that way in a different carrier but he'd gotten too big to be properly supported and it was getting to be hard on our backs. This carrier gives great support for baby and is much more comfortable for us. It took me about a week to feel totally comfortable wearing the carrier -- the waist strap took some getting used to and left my low back a little sore at first. I feel great wearing it for long periods now. My partner likes it as well and it is not hard for different wearers to adjust the fit. It does take some patience to learn how to set the carrier up for different holds and get it adjusted to your comfort. Tula has excellent and blessedly short how-to videos available on You Tube that help in the beginning. We went with the coast model (with the mesh in the front) and I am glad we did. We live in NC and it is much more likely that we'd be too hot in the carrier than for baby to be too cold. We did purchase this thinking we could use it with other babies down the line. I'm not sure if I'd like it with a brand newborn (seems like a lot of material and bulk for a tiny baby) but could see loving it once baby was 2 months old or so. I liked stretchy wraps when our baby was small but that's just a matter of personal preference. I'd absolutely recommend this. ... show more

  • Kinda big! Great for baby over 4 months +
Color: Land Before Tula
I bought this thinking it would be great to carry my 1 month old in, as he was super colicy and the reviews said this was great for smaller babies beggar it adjusted in the pelvic /hip area to sit a small baby. Well my baby is measuring at exacting where he should for his age, and this carrier was too big and bulky for him. He was sufficating and screaming from feeling insecure, despite all the adjustments I tried to make. He is now 3 months and still measuring exactly where he should be for his age in height and weight. This carrier is STILL a bit big for him. I think next month it will work out nicely. So for now I've been using a different carrier that my cousin gave me, and my Moby wrap. He loves the wrap! It's easy to take on and off, he's secure, and the material is breathable so he doesn't overheat. So those are my go to carriers until my lil guy is big enough for this one. It is a great durable carrier. I just feel it's better suited for a baby 4 months and up. ... show more

  • Comfortable
Color: Coast Beyond
This is my favorite carrier. It is comfortable and lightweight. It's the only one my son won't profusely sweat in. All the different ways to wear it were very confusing but I appreciate the versatility after getting the hang of it

  • Almost perfect!
Color: Coast Overcast
After trying many carriers, I think I'm settling on the Tula Explore. I love the simplicity of the carrier, the part baby is actually in. There's no bulky parts to adjust and baby feels pretty flush against my body, like she does in a baby wrap. We both like that. She seems pretty comfortable once settled into it. The weight, so far (she's about 12 lbs), is distributed mostly on my hips. This is great because my back was killing me with other carriers. The weight distribution is the main reason I'm choosing this one over others. The fabric is also softer then the Lillebaby Airflow, though not as soft as I would like. I really like the cushion around baby's legs too, which seemed to be either missing or too bulky in other carriers. Now here's why it's not perfect, even though I think it's the one I'll keep... The shoulder straps are thick, but not too thick, however the adjustable connection doesn't go as high up as I need. At the highest point, I can barely reach it (I'm 5'4" and never thought I had short arms). I have to slide it all the way down and connect in my middle back where I can reach it. This is fine but leaves the shoulder straps on the edges of my shoulders, not close to my neck. The only reason I'm okay with this is because none of the weight seems to be on my shoulders. We'll see how this works as she gets heavier and the carrier is more worn in. Another negative is the infant head support pillow. You have to tuck it in and tuck the flaps into little pockets inside ther carrier. The problem is that there isn't anything to snap the flaps in place. I just decided to untuck the pillow and use it in the short position snapped to the outside. However, if you truly have a tiny infant, like the 7lbs they say this carrier fits, this could be a problem. Lastly, I wish the hood was attached and tucked into a pocket like a lot of other carriers. I'm fairly certain I'm going to lose one day. All in all, I'd say this carrier is almost perfect. Even the things I would change are either specific to me, narrow shoulders and apparently short arms, or things I can work around. ... show more

  • I purchased twice, that’s how good it is.
Color: Coast Beyond
This is the second one that I’ve purchased. The first one I got was in 2019. My son was almost 10 lbs at birth so I was on a mission to find a carrier that would stay with us as long as I needed to carry him. This carries up to 45 lbs - standard size. Fits small and tall babies. Pictured is my baby koala bear. This review is really on his behalf, he LOVES being in the carrier. He loves to be carried and this allows us to carry him around the house and still be hands free. We do have the wrap but koala is solid and heavy. This feels much more secure than the moby, which is great for newborn to a couple months, but our babies are generally heavier and taller than other babies. This one is much more breathable and the mesh helps if you have a sweaty baby. Koala baby does sweat so this is great for him. I carried my older son in my first one until he was about 4, and I carried him mostly on my back for the last year using that carrier. Usually for hiking or when we knew we’d be somewhere that either required a lot of walking or if there were hazards and it was best to carry him. I gave Tula#1 to my sister after I had no use for us and it’s well loved by her and her boys. It’s easy and quick to put on (of course once you’ve properly adjusted it to fit baby), and I always have it with me. Worth every penny, and our go-to carrier, the one I’d recommend for every parent. ... show more
