We had an adjustable (non-rectangular) play pen in our living room, but we needed somewhere to sit/occupy our 10-month old baby while we winded down at night. Therefore, we decided to purchase this play pen for our master bedroom. I purposely sought a play pen that was soft (not wooden) due to the fact that our baby is quite active… plus, easier to clean! I had a spare full-size mattress topper.. which is the closest bed size relative to the frame of the play pen. The mattress topper is just a few inches longer (I ordered the 74x50 play pen). We also loved how there is a thin bottom mat (even when choosing the non-mat option): it just feels safer and more stable for our wild child. My husband is pretty good at building things, but he put it together fairly quickly. This probably would not be the case if I put it together though 😅 I say it was “too” good because now I just ordered one for our living room to replace the existing one in there. It’s more spacious, more aesthetic (less cluttery-looking), and safer! We plan on using it as a ball pit for her first birthday as well.

I grabbed this for my youngest, and I have to say, I'm a fan. It's a lot of space for your little one to play when you need to get things done. I will say, setting this up is more involved than standard sized play pens that just fold up and down and goes together more like ten poles, so it's not something you're likely to take places, but it makes for a great stationary play pen. I did chuckle a bit at the word "small" being in the product name, considering the size of the unit. The suction cups are a nice touch, which work out great for hardwood or tile floors. It's also nice and sturdy once it is put together, but it does take some time to put together that first time. This brings us to the question: Do I recommend this? That depends on your needs. If you are looking for a play pen that will be set up and left in its position, and can fit a unit of this size, it's a perfect fit as you will be only have to deal with the building process once. If you're wanting something that you will be setting up and taking down as needed, this may not be the best direction to go, solely because you'll be spending a lot of time putting it together than taking it down.

I bought a baby playpen for my little nephew. We set it up as soon as it arrived, and it was really easy. He's over 7 months old and can crawl now. It felt unsafe with so many things on the floor in his way. Inside the playpen, he can crawl, stand, and play safely. The suction cups on the bottom keep it firmly in place on both tiles and wooden floors, so it doesn’t move easily. The only downside is I bought a 50" by 50" size, but now the link is for 74" by 50". I wish we had gotten the larger one.

This is an excellent play pen to help keep your little one safely contained while you do what you need to do. I did find myself laying down inside the pen with my baby since there were times he wanted me close by. This is has an extra 20 inches of room compared to the standard square play pen for mommy and daddy to lay down in. Keep in mind it does take up space but it does the job. A few of the bars bent from my husband and son playing but they like to rough house. This may seem overwhelming at first as there are a lot of parts but it’s actually really easy to put together with some common sense. It is lightweight and sturdy. One of the zippers on the doorway broke but luckily there are 2 zippers that go each way so at least the remaining one held strong. My son enjoyed this play pan for a few months until he is now walking and exploring so much lately. It’s all part of the different growing stages they endure. This was great for us at about the 8-11.5 month range. Great product!

I use this large playpen to raise kittens up to about six weeks. The sides are strong; the mesh holds up under kitten claws. There’s a flap that opens, which make it easy to put tunnels and toys for play just inside the pen. Four kittens have stayed safely contained with plenty of room to run and pounce.

It's suitable for small homes, with a stable and sturdy structure. The suction cups at the bottom prevent it from easily tipping over or moving while the child is playing. The fabric is quite thin and lightweight, making it easy to move around. If you're using it for a baby, you'll need to buy an additional mat.
