Had to tighten very much to get the arm to not start sliding down. It has foam padding to protect surfaces but it rubbed the stain off our Nestig crib where I tried to put it. I tightened it to the point where I was worried the wood would crack but it still did not feel secure and any little tap caused it to shift. We didn’t feel it was safe because of that and opted for a floor stand instead.

This product is fine and the height/length is perfect if you have a low hanging mobile BUT there is no hook or apparatus to hang a music box/rotating device. There is only a small groove to directly hang the mobile. Therefore, this is solely for a mobile and beware of the mobile because if it has a hook there is nowhere and no way to securely hang it. Very disappointing.
