This is an awesome baby lounger. I love the sailor theme design and color. It is soft and comfortable. The included protector pad shrinks with washing and drying so it no longer fits as intended. It's easy to travel with making portability a priority

Product compares to the competition. Price is also in line with the competition. Design, and assembly, all very similar to competition. There seems to be controversy in general over loungers, should baby get too close to the edge where there is less "oxygen". but with anything, there has to be supervision. This is a nice soft mat, can be used as co-sleeper, or just a sleeping mat when you want to move from room to room to get your daily chores done. More portable than a rolling bassinet. Great for going to visit people and you can lay baby down. Agree that once baby starts to roll over from back to stomach, then watch more carefully. Our baby was a side sleeper from birth, and daddy was freaked out just sleeping in the bassinet. Some babies will prefer to side-sleep, rather than lay directly on back. again, there are cameras, monitors, etc., and supervision to make sure your baby is safe.

Would definitely prefer a different color, like a neutral color, and not thrilled that there's assembly required. It's not a lot of asssembly, but still it cheapened the overall feel to me. I'd rather spend a bit more on a solid 1 piece nest. I really appreciate that it's made of 100% cotton filling and not of polyester or or foam that emits toxins.

My little infant has decided he only wants to sleep on our bed. (I knowww, co-sleeping is tricky). It's a nice barrier to have between hubby and I. He's snug and comfortable in the lounger. This has been a godsend and is something I'd recommend for first time parents.
