This was an excellent concept, but a fail as far as the electronics are concerned. It is hit or miss as to whether the keys will sound, especially the first key. I tried to give it a second chance and ordered a replacement, but it had the same issues. I like the safety of the smooth keyboard, instead of metal bars, but for the price of it, they should have put more care into developing a reliable product. I wanted to teach my granddaughter some nursery rhymes, but mid song a key won’t sound, even if I am trying to play it! If you are just looking for a safe instrument that doesn’t have metal bars, this might still be for you. If you just want something for your little one to bang on, you might be able to find something less expensive. If you want to actually have the satisfaction of playing a song and have the notes consistently sound, you should probably look elsewhere. ... show more

It’s a good toy for 10 month old- 3 year old. But the toy itself has a creepy side. It will play music notes by itself and so here I am sleeping in bed and I can hear this toy playing notes all by itself on the one where it teaches you the music. I have one for my kids and have given one as a gift. The sound it makes is nice, not tinny and annoying like most kids toys. I like that they can either press each color individually to play or push the blue button for a prerecorded song. The size and weight are perfect for smaller children.

We had this for a while and then the big red key kept acting like someone was hitting in but they weren't. I called support and since they didn't have any in stock they cut us a check for the value of it and sent it in the mail. We bought another one with the money and have had no issues with it.
