We went on a week vacation with our 14 month old and drove to our destination so we were able to bring this instead of a traditional pack n play. It’s hard to find an affordable crib without slats or hard sides of some kind. This was easy to put together, looks as nice as you can expect for what it is, and the mesh sides are a lifesaver for my toddler who kept falling and bashing her head on the wooden crib or getting her arms and legs stuck. It’s also low to the ground, which makes it much safer now that she wants to climb out. It’s easy to clean and durable. I think it’s sold as being portable; I would not recommend buying it for the purpose of travel as it’s a process to break down and move. ... show more

I'm not going to lie, but this thing is amazing!!. It is way better than a Pack ' N Play, honestly. The only downside is that you need a full-size mattress, but that is kind of a given with it being a full-size crib. It is really easy to get set up and take down, and it fits very nicely in the carrying case. I would recommend having a small screwdriver or something with a small blunt end to get the pins out when you're taking it down. ... show more

Why did you pick this product vs others?: I'm a grandparent of a bigger 15 month old grandson that lives out of state. I needed a portable and sturdy crib to pop up at my house when they come to visit and one to take to the cabin. This crib is sturdy and safe. I bought a crib mattress due to his weight and size because the one that comes with it is thin with little cushion. I think this is true of most portable cribs. When setting up this crib, it's simple but the fabric is so tight. It felt like it was washed, dried and shrunk. I hadn't washed or dried it yet. Not even sure if the fabric can be taken apart for washing. It took 2 people to stretch the fabric to get it over the rails and zip the zippers on 4 sides of the bed. I felt like the seems were going to tear apart. I wish I would have purchased a foldable crib instead. No time to send back and repurchase a different crib. I have a SUV, so the crib mattress was portable for my needs. Sleep quality: Good sturdy frame. Buying a crib mattress for extra comfort was great, especially with extended weeks of stay.
