FIRST: I BOUGHT THIS CONVERSION KIT TO UPGRADE MY CURRENT EBIKE. I HAVE A 500-WATT ECOTRIC EBIKE THAT I PURCHASED IN 2020. 500-WATTS IS NOT SUFFICIENT FOR THE TYPE OF OFF ROAD RIDING THAT I DO. SO- I HAD TO STRIP OFF ALL THE CONTROLS AND REMOVE THE BACK TIRE AND TUBE. IT WAS A LOT OF WORK. THE BAG FOR THE AW CONTROLLER GETS VERY CROWDED VERY FAST. LIKES: COMPARED TO THE ORIFINAL ECOTRIC: IT HAS MUCH MORE POWER TO CLIMB HILLS. I LIKE THE MOTOR CYCLE TYPE THROTTLE. DISLIKES: 1) THE PEDDLE ASSIST (PAS) DOES NOT WORK. IT IS DIFFERENT THAN THE ECOTRIC SETUP AND I DON'T KNOW HOW IT COULD EVER WORK. YOU NEED TO BUY OR BORROW A CRANK PULLER TO INSTALL THE PAS. 2) THE LCD METER IS TINY BUT FUNCTIONAL. I ONLY USE IT FOR CHANGING THE ELECTRIC SPEED AND TO MONITOR BATTERY CHARGE. I DON'T CARE ABOUT ANYTHING ELSE ON THE DISPLAY. 3) THE LOCATION OF THE POWER WIRE COMING FROM THE WHEEL AXEL IS NOT GOOD. THE WIRE IS TOO CLOSE TO THE DISK BRAKE ROTOR. I AM NOT SURE HOW LONG IT WILL LAST BEFORE IT GETS SNAGGED AND CUT. 4) THE CONTROLLER SHOULD HAVE WIRES EXITING FROM BOTH ENDS. IT IS DIFFICULT TO GET ALL THE WIRES INTO THE BAG AS DESIGNED. I HAVE TAKEN THE EBIKE WITH THE AW CONVERSION KIT OUT TWICE AND I LIKE THE POWER. IT TAKES SOME SKILL AND INTUITION TO DO THE CONVERSION. I BOUGHT THE YASCO EBIKE 48 V. 20AH, 1500-WATT BATTERY FOR THE CONVERSION KIT- THE BATTERY CAME WITH THE CORRECT MATING CONNECTOR FOR MY AW CONTROLLER. ( A HUGE PLUS.) ... show more

It works I guess. Comparing it a friend's 1500 watt bike, this feels super sluggish. His bike is comparable otherwise, same battery, tires, etc but he can cruise right past me with ease. The wheel makes a growling sound when given power which is a bit unsettling. Top speed I can reach on level ground is about 24-25mph. We'll see how long it lasts. ... show more

not a really well built product. there is better for this price. honestly for lower end stuff i really like ebikelings stuff and thier 1500w controller can be rewired for regen braking too and is sine wave if u can i would spend the little extra. i sent mine back and they tried to knock half off for a hole in the box that was there when i got it and for some reason they didnt like the way thier own product looked LOL. but amazon helped me out and got my loot back so thanks amazon!! but seriously id buyer beware ... show more

    • Shorted out quickly, AW refunded my money, so they are good at customer service.
