This can be stopped simply by grabbing it (gently) with two fingers. It doesn’t have and power to unscrew a bolt at all. Don't buy this, it’s a waste of money. My husband was very disappointed with it. It was his birthday present and I feel like a failure because this was not a good gift. Very disappointing. ... show more

I have a very old Skil rechargeable power ratchet my father in law gave me like 30 years ago. It was never particularly useful because it was low power and kinda slow. This Avid Power is not low power, or slow. The extended reach is very handy. And that length helps with leverage to break free bolts or nuts outside of it's torque ability to get them free to power off. I bought it to do recent engine work on my E53 X5. It was a real asset in tight places. It was also great for removing and installing coil packs and spark plugs on my 5.4 Ford Triton in my tight fit E250 cargo van. It's great that it comes with a dedicated fitted hard case. The value for the money is outstanding. Soo far, zero complaints, and no negatives. A definite Buy rating from me. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I have the older model short version (pictured) and have abused the crap out of it, so I wanted to stay with this brand, primarily because the stubby came with 2 batteries which still hold charge and perform well, going to the extended reach wrench and not add a whole new set of batteries/chargers. I couldn't find anything that said they would work, but they do. Fit fine no issue even came with the old style charger. 4 stars because the new one whines. Maybe it will wear in but it has a loud buzzer style whine to it. ... show more

My only issue is I would like a second battery. An easy way to order a second battery was not presented. Love the unit. The sockets included were very useful the first day I got it.

    • Milwaukee is sold!! smaller head and longer reach!!!!
I sold my milwaukee and ryobi ratchets. This one works well for me. Just did a timing job on a 5.3v4. No problems with valve cover screws and spark plug coils all the way against the firewall. Its not a milwaukee in terms of top of the line longevity . But it functions better for my needs and I can rebuild battery pack if ever needed. Used it to remove seats to install new covers. It did a great job, plenty of torque. Long teach and small ratchet head !!!! ... show more
