I purchased this pretty unit for my new automatic Swiss watch. While it was noisy, not having had one in the past, I figured they all do that. The machine did not keep accurate time, and I had to adjust the date and time a few times, but I didn't react much. This week, it stopped working altogether. The winder is DEAD, and it has not been 10 months since I purchased it. Now, I will have to see what Amazon resolution team will do since the manufacturer's automatic chat software could "not understand" my problem and sent me back to Amazon. Beware of this device!

I don't know if this is not rotating frequently enough or what, but it does not work. I have fallen outside return window, so now stuck with useless item. Amended - if the watch has been worn a bit before putting into this thing, it does seem to keep the time. Changed review from 1-4 stars.

This is the first watch winder I have ever purchased and this review is based on my experience (or lack thereof). I recently received a self-winding (automatic) wristwatch and needed to purchase a winder to ensure that the watch would be constantly wound. My must-haves for an autowinder was that it had to be: small/compact, quiet, not battery-reliant, and discreet in appearance. Based on the above I chose this winder. I liked that it was offered in a few different exterior finishes so that I could match it to the area where I would keep it. This winder I chose to keep on the corner of my bedside table - the table has a very dark black-brown wood finish so I felt that the alligator patterned faux-leather finish offered the best contrast of dark color and masculinity. The watch winder is incredibly quiet when in operation. I have it connected to wall/AC power since the outlet is near my side table. The interior of the winder is nicely lined with the same material as the exterior and the cushion upon which you would strap the watch is well-made and sturdy. Operation of the unit is simple, it just takes one click of the rear-located power button to turn it on and off. Not only does it function well but it looks cool! I would purchase this winder again.

Does exactly what it's supposed to. I have a nice automatic watch and this winder keeps it ready to use at any time. It's quiet, intermittent and looks very nice. It's lighter than some of the flashy polished wood models but that doesn't matter. Great little product for the price, finally have a watch winder after needing one for 10 years and putting it off because I didn't want to spend $200+.
