If you’re dealing with vacuum leaks, EVAP issues, or simply want to test your vehicle’s systems, this smoke tester is a must‑have in your toolkit. I have zero mechanical background, but recently decided to start learning how to be more hands‑on mechanically. This smoke machine made the entire process simple and approachable. The seller provides clear instructions, an included QR code linking to a helpful video, and a website full of additional guides. Their customer service was excellent as well—they answered my pre‑purchase questions quickly and gave solid advice for my situation. 🔍 Why I Bought It & What It Helped Me Solve I had been chasing high lean code readings at idle for quite some time, using a ScanGauge to monitor the issue. I had already replaced the MAF sensor and O2 sensors, which helped only partially. I couldn’t find a mechanic willing or able to smoke‑test my motorhome, so I had no choice but to do it myself. With the seller’s videos and the simplicity of the machine, I gained the confidence to perform the test—even though it required a lot of crawling around tight spaces. Using this smoke tester, I confirmed multiple leaks: *Oil dipstick tube *Dipstick inlet O‑ring (worn) *Collector flange before the O2 sensors *Several exhaust flange joints after the O2 sensors The leaks before the O2 sensors were the cause of my idle lean codes. After repairing everything, my readings dropped from 20–25 down to 0.8 at idle. That alone made this tool worth every penny. 🧰 Accessories I Purchased (Highly Recommended) To fully test both the EVAP and exhaust systems, I bought several AutoLine Pro accessories. Various sizes give flexibility, but note you only get one size—if you need to seal two mufflers, get the bladder adapter. 2. EVAP Service Port Adapter Works perfectly on the EVAP line service port (mine had a green cap). Includes the valve‑removal tool and seals tightly. 3. Universal Gas Cap Adapter Allowed me to test the fuel filler inlet with no issues. Comes with multiple pads and can get multiple uses from each pad. 4. Bladder Adapter 2.0 Extremely useful for sealing mufflers and the engine air intake tract (where the MAF sits). Just remove the MAF and insert the bladder. *All accessories were compact, well‑made, and expanded the machine’s versatility. 👍 What I Loved Very compact but surprisingly powerful Extremely easy to use, even for beginners Excellent customer service Helpful videos and instructions Accessories make it adaptable to almost any situation Handwritten thank‑you card from the owner—a great personal touch Far more affordable than professional smoke machines, yet highly effective ⚠️ Minor Drawbacks / Recommendations Battery power cord could be a little longer, but it’s manageable. The smoke fluid claims 120 minutes per bag, but I got closer to half that. Not a deal‑breaker, just something to note. The smoke smell can be strong over time—use a mask if you’re sensitive to chemical odors. Always test in a well‑ventilated area. ✅ Bottom Line This small but mighty smoke tester delivers incredible value. Super durable build quality. It feels sturdy when moving it around and doesn’t have any strong odor while running. The amount of smoke it produces is impressive and makes leaks easy to spot. I was able to diagnose my EVAP leak in about five minutes after sending smoke through the engine bay purge valve. Straightforward to use and very effective. Great tool to have if you’re troubleshooting vacuum or EVAP issues.

A fantastic, quality tool that functions just as it should. I got mine today and even though I had read the dimensions, I found the AutoLine Pro HyperSmoke to be almost humorously compact. That just makes it easier to store. On my turbocharged Audi, it filled the intake pipe, turbocharger, all the charge pipes, the front mount intercooler and both intake manifolds in less than a minute through a MAP sensor hole and then inflated the rubber glove I had over the intake tune like a chicken:) Great machine and American Made…..love it.’

The smoke machine works well for troubleshooting leaks pretty much any closed system such as car intake and evap systems. The machine is very tiny, smaller than a coffee mug. Easy to use. Produces smoke within under a minute... Lots of smoke too. Enough power to fill a typical car intake system a couple of minutes. I am taking one start off, because of how stinky the smoke is from the included packets. Nit only stinky but made my eyes tear. The smoke imbeds itself in everything... Clothes, hair, skin... The engine bay smells like this smoke the next day. This perhaps is a typical thing (this is my first automotive smoke machine), but dude... Anyway, it did pointed out the leak I was chasing for a while in a matter of minutes, so the money well spent and I am glad this thing is available. If you have a vacuum or pressure leak somewhere, get this, just do not use it inside your house. I have ordered UV glowing smoke, I will try that, see if it as "sticky" as the one included. I definitely recommend this smoker, but use use it for as short time as possible, do not leave it on any longer than needed.
