This HyperSmoke smoke machine works great! I used it to diagnose a small EVAP leak, and it made finding the issue quick and easy. The machine heats up fast, produces a steady stream of smoke, and feels really well-built. It’s simple to set up and use, even if you’re not a pro mechanic. The included accessories fit nicely and make the job go smoothly. Saved me a ton of time and money compared to taking it to a shop. Works great, smells like burnt oil so don’t smell it haha. Works fast and all the pieces help a bunch. I put off buying a smoke machine cuz they were so expensive, but this is perfect. It’s small and easy to store so perfect for even just for diy work.

It does exactly what it's advertised to, and it does it well. It takes a few minutes to fill an intake plenum, but the smoke thickness was perfect, it was easy to spot the leak. The included chain to hang it is super handy, allows me to dangle it from the hood since there are zero flat spots in my engine bay.

I am not a professional mechanic; this review represents my opinion on the basis of several uses on my own vehicles in my garage at home. With this very compact/affordable device, I was able to verify a leak in my vehicle's exhaust system and also check several components of my intake, evaporative emissions control and cooling systems. I am thus far very pleased with this modest purchase. In my opinion, it is of good design and build quality, has good surface finishes, elegant simplicity in it's use, enough smoke within 60 seconds for most DIY automotive diagnoses. Very importantly, it has two output pressure regulator settings...1 PSI and 7 PSI. The lower pressure is essential when performing intake and evaporative emissions control system testing, so as not to damage sensitive components. I have not verified the output pressures, but plan to do so in the near future. The machine comes with excellent written instructions, access to video content and special mineral oil. I purchased a separate kit of adapters (from the same manufacturer) for performing the various tests and find all accessories to be of acceptable quality. Be advised there is no flow rate adjustment, nor is there a flow rate meter. Also, you will need to separately purchase accessories such as gas cap adapter, EVAP service port adapter, Cones, Cap Plugs, Bladders, etc., for a variety of vehicle system testing. Small but mighty, this product exudes a quality build and within a few minutes of opening the package and quick preparation, I’d found my EVAP leak. Don’t let its small size fool you. It works great and the small size a huge bonus for a tool that you won’t need to use too often, but that you’ll have the peace of mind of knowing that it’s tucked in the back corner of your tool box.

This is awesome, I had both banks running lean due to an air leak. It took a matter of minutes to find multiple leaks in my system. This saved me so much time tracking down those pesky leaks. It was very easy to use. It has a bit of an odd smell but worth it.
