  • PROPER INSTALLATION PHOTO !!
UPDATE: April 2022. I've had these on my 2019 Sorento for over two years and still haven't had a problem. All four windows go up and down without impacting the deflectors. They've been through car washes, snow storms, and drive-thru COVID test stations without problems. Still love them. After reading the reviews here I was willing to try this product. I love it! It takes a little test fitting to figure out the non-adhesive tab goes between the rubber seal and the OUTSIDE molding. The instructions do a poor job of explaining this, but it is obvious if you put the entire ventvisor inside the channel, the window will hit it. The tab without the tape has a definite "S" bend in the corner where it sits OUTSIDE the rubber channel and under the hard plastic molding of the door. Once you get the ventvisor in place and the tape adhered, the rubber channel will compress and remember that shape. The photo shows the rear of the driver's side door. The upper area (green) goes INSIDE the window channel and the rear area (red) goes OUTSIDE the channel, between the rubber seal and the outside door molding. You can see where the red arrow points that the rubber seal is pressed tightly against the window at that location because the rear tab is outside the channel. The window in the photo is actually down about 1/2 an inch which is why the rubber at the top of the back edge isn't a straight line. For the rear windows it is similar, except the FRONT tab goes between the rubber seal and the door molding. Each part is labeled either R or L so you can verify you have the correct ventvisor on each side. I wish the instructions had a photo or diagram like this. I think it would eliminate many of the one-star reviews where people said their ventvisor cracked the first time they raised the window. ... show more

  • You’ll need more alcohol than the four pads provided.
I’m not knocking the product because this brand worked well for my truck. The fit for the Sorrento was perfect when installed but windows struggled to close. I had to pull out on the shades in order to close windows completely. I figured once glue set, I wouldn’t have any issues. I didn’t attempt to open windows for several days giving shades plenty of time to set. After finishing business at bank drive through, I closed the window and the shade broke at the rear. A few days later the same thing happened when my wife opened and closed window on the passenger side. Again, the same brand worked for my truck. I washed the rubber very well and used additional alcohol on all windows to insure surfaces were clean. I also left windows closed longer than recommended by manufacturer. ... show more

  • Perfect Fit. Easy and Sturdy Install Instructions
Poor included instructions are the reason for the bad reviews. While these are not as good as the big name brand they fit just as well and easily if you follow some important tips as follows. 1. Clean the window channel thoroughly. I used a microfiber cloth and straight alcohol to thoroughly clean the channel. This entrie ensures good adhesion of the tape 2. Read the instructions then read them again. Notice carefully where the reference the "flange". On both the front and rear deflectors this is the piece that does NOT have any tape attached. 3. The attached picture shows where the window meets the black trim panel that separates the front and rear doors. The yellow circle points to the thin strip of rubber that meets the trim and the red shows how the properly installed visor should appear. 4. The trick here is that the untaped part of the flange does NOT go into the window channel. Instead, it is supposed to fit between that thin rubber lip and the black plastic trim. The instructions does a poor job of explaining this but when dry fitting look carefully and you will see how you can slip the flange between the thin rubber lip and the black trim. The rest of the visor then fits into the window channel as per the instructions. I started at the untaped flange end and worked my way towards the other end constantly pushing the visor into the channel while pulling it towards the outside visualizing the tape making full contact in the channel. Once the visor is in completely, slowly roll the window up to verify that it completely closes. This also seats the visor fully. Then open the window halfway before closing it fully and at full speed. Do not open the window for at least 12 hours, 24 is better. I prefer WeatherTech but that's not yet available for latest generation Sorrentos. ... show more

  • Edited Review... Had to eat my words!
{UPDATE} Ok... so, I had to come back and increase the star rating from 1 to 4. Instead of throwing the whole set away & wasting $$ after one visor snapped, I decided to order a used set for half the price and try again. I went back and re-read the reviews and looked over the customer photos. PERFECT INSTALL on my 2020 Kia Sorento EX-V6 Sport! The key part I had missed before was that the tab without the tape goes OVER the rubber trim. It doesn't look right at first glance, but trust me, that is the only way to avoid snapping it. I'm not so sure this is how the manufacturer intended for it to be installed, but it works. These things actually look better than the Weather Tech ones. They seem to have a sleeker profile and appearance in my opinion. They also are a little shorter and slightly darker than WT, which I prefer. Removed 1 star because of install. {ORIGINAL REVIEW} Skip these and spend the extra money for WeatherTech. I appreciate the pics & tips from the others, but it's waaay too easy to NOT set these properly no matter how hard you try to not make the mistake others have made, then it snaps and it's over. You can't get a replacement for one blade, so your time and money are wasted. I should have just gone with my gut. Looks like a quality product, if you can get past the install. Good luck. ... show more
