This seat is covered with a good marine grade fabric and has some padding under it. I would recommend getting a adjustable, spring loaded base that can tilt, other wise it can dig into your manhood after a while and becomes uncomfortable. I've had no issues with it at all. If you are over 90 lbs (50 kg), this cushion is just way too small. The lift it provides when sitting in it, is about 3" at 180 lbs. It would be perfect for kids under 90 lbs and may provide 4" lift for them.

it comes ready to mount to your existing stand, just unscrew the 4 included screws on the bottom of the seat and set on your old existing stand with 4 angled slots to universally fit and screw back in to the bottom of the seat that has the factory installed bushings.
