This is the 2nd style I have purchased and there are several differences. The 1st was the cheapest pair to try out before jumping into the most expensive pair. My opinion 1st both pair sizing has been spot on for me, but I have had fittings for shoes so know my proper size. 2nd same draw string top. Now the upgrade in price also gave me an upgrade in shoe. These bottoms are much thicker and more refined to areas the pavement will hit your feet. I am very pleased with this. Also the tongue is one piece with shoe instead of added layer piece like other pair. The snug fit did alarm me at first but when I’m Canoe with kids I’m appreciate this feature, unlike the lower cut on others. Lastly the quality of material was reason I had to replace first put after a month and already know this a nice disgrace fabric that I’m now excited to see how it handle my lifestyle….. This style shoe has changed my life in month and i believe other then adding my personal insole they will pay me the summer an beyond.

Very comfortable. I bought this pair according to my true size, 81/2 to compare to the ones I bought for an upcoming vacation. The reviews suggested to size down (71/2) a size for a snugger fit for the water park. In comparing the two I think they would be correct to keep them from slipping off. This pair I wear around home and they are sooo comfortable. The sized down puts my toes to the end of the shoe but still comfortable yet I think the snugness will be needed in the water park.

Here are several comments I have on the ATHMILE Hiking Barefoot Water Shoes that I ordered in a size 10. (See end of review for more info on sizing). UPDATES IN MY REVIEW ARE PROVIDED IN CAPS. 1) They slide on easy. At first, they feel very comfortable but as i was walking down my driveway, I noticed my feet hitting the hard pavement with every step. No cushioning to absorb the shock. Also, I noticed a few of my toes on the right foot feeling squished which i didn't notice at first. 2) Nice Style 3) The bottom of the shoe seems like they will provide a decent grip for stepping upon a wet rock or a rock under water, but I have not yet tried them on slippery surfaces. I will update this review when I do. UPDATE: i WORE THEM YESTERDAY SINCE I WOULD BE WORKING IN AN AREA THAT WAS WET FROM THE PRIOR DAYS RAIN. CAREFULLY WALKING ONTO A LARGE ROCK, MY FOOT IMMEDIATELY BEGAN TO SLIP. I SAVED MYSELF FROM A FALL. I DO NOT BELIEVE THESE AQUA SHOES TO BE THAT SLIP RESISTANT. 4) i would not use or recommend them for hiking as the name 'Hiking Water Shoes" implies. I feel hiking shoes should provide cushioning of some sort, and support, and a tie or velcro strap that secures to the feet. UPDATE: HIKING SHOES SHOULD HAVE SLIP RESISTANT BOTTOMS. THESE DO NOT. 5) The inner sole pad comes out when you take your foot out of the shoe. THIS SEEMS TO BE NORMAL FOR AQUA SHOES AS I TRIED ON A PAIR IN A STORE AND WHEN I REMOVED MY FOOT THE SOLE PAD CAME OUT TOO. I recommend using their size chart that you will find on the order page. Place your foot on a piece of paper, and trace around it, or simply make a mark in front of your longest toe and the heel of your foot. Use a tape measure to measure the inches. Then see the chart to find your size. My foot measured around 10.25". ... their chart told me to order a size 10. Even with the negatives, I will keep these for my needs of going kayaking. I just want my feet at least somewhat protected. UPDATE: BOTTOM LINE, BASED ON THE DESCRIPTION OF THESE SHOES AND THEIR ACTUAL PERFORMANCE, I DO NOT RECOMMEND THESE AQUA SHOES TO ANYONE WHO WANTS TO ENSURE SLIP FREE AND SHOCK ABSORBING WALKING. THEY ARE DEFINITELY NOT SUITABLE FOR HIKING, BUT THEY SHOULD BE FINE FOR GOING IN LAKES TO KYAK, AND OTHER ACTIVITIES IN WHICH YOU GET YOUR FEET WET. I DID LIKE HOW THEY PERFORMED IN WATER. I USED THEM TODAY WASHING THE CARS. I ALSO WENT IN A STREAM WHERE THERE WAS A VERY MUDDY AREA. THE SHOES STAYED ON MY FEET WELL EVEN AS MY FEET SUNK INTO THE MUD. I HAD TRIED ON ANOTHER BRAND IN A STORE. NONE OF THE AQUA SHOES HAD THE RUBBER SOLE THAT GOES UP AROUND THE SIDES AND OVER THE TOES LIKE THESE DO. THEREFORE THESE AQUA SHOES SEEM TO OFFER A BIT MORE PROTECTION FOR YOUR TOES. I AM INCREASING MY STAR RATING TO 4 STARS.

I am used to walking with sandles or barefoot. I have tried several different shoes and crocs but they all hurt my feet. I tried the barefoot shoes and my feet don't hurt like they do with other types of shoes. These shoes are super lightweight and easy to pack as they hardly take up any room. I now have 4 pairs in different colors.

Bought these for tubing down the river. I bought a pair for each of my grown kids. We also did some hiking and I wore them the whole time. They were so much more comfortable than buying water shoes from Walmart or wearing soggy tennis shoes halfway through the day.

Feels like walking barefoot but without discomfort of stepping on things! Easy to get on/off even for a senior. I'm barefoot all the time but needed something I could walk out into the yard with gravel or on a hot street. I slip these on to go shopping too. Might buy more in various colors, I like them so much.

Comfortable almost barefoot feel. Love the colors. They are not as slip proof as one is made to believe. I will use them for walking, pool or beach, gym, or shopping. I think after a while the thin soul would let you feel all hard objects during hiking. Overall it's a nice shoe for the money paid and very much similar to higher priced same shoe types.
