The boots were exactly as pictured. What I did not expect was the difficulty of putting the fur-lined boots on. They have a pull in the back and elastic at the sides and one should be able to easily slip them on. This may be just me, having had both knees replaced in 2009. I wish I had ordered the 01 chestnut because I think they would have been easier for me to put on. The boots need a spray to waterproof them if they are worn on slushy surfaces. The platforms should raise you enough to avoid getting wet in the rain but if there is a chance of any depth of snow you will want the boots protected because you want them to last for years. The textured soles should prevent slips and falls on slippery surfaces, but don't take chances. I usually buy a half-size larger in fur-lined boots and wish I had done so on these boots. If you plan on wearing a thick sock, you will need to order up. I tried on with bare feet and don't think I could put them on with socks. I have seen Chelsea boots at a lower price but these are extremely well-made. The platform soles add so much to the boot overall. They don't feel like you are towering over your shorter self since the platform is very even with just a bit higher in the back. My feet were a bit cold when I put the boots on to write about them and they feel so good I hate to take them off. I am very happy overall with the boots! ... show more

Platform shoes are often clunky and difficult to walk in, but these.....SOOOO COMFY! These boots were easy to slip on and, once I did, I did not want to take them off! They're easy to walk in, lighter than you'd expect for boots like these, and toasty! I may Scotch guard them to keep them better protected from the elements. I took one star off because the color (taupe) is not as pictured online. But, my feet don't care - they're too comfy to notice! ... show more

I love the platform heel of these boots. They are true to size and easy to get on and off with the back loop. They have a good traction on the sole. I do find the top part slightly irritating against my ankle so I am probably going to have to wear longer socks so it’s not rubbing against my skin.
