I really needed a monitor for my setup, and this was one of the cheapest monitors I could find from a brand that I trust that has HDMI with a suitable size. When I first got the monitor, it was very easy to set up. Simply plug it in, and woolah! What gave me trouble was calibrating the colour. The colour was extremely whitewashed, and it took me a day to calibrate it to how I wanted it to be. After getting it set up though, I can firmly say this was a great purchase, and I thoroughly enjoy this monitor. I am a college student, and this is great for getting my work done, as well as watching YouTube videos shamelessly in my bed at 2:00 AM. PROS: Easy to set up, and has great colour, contrast ratio, and gives a sharp and clear image. I ADORE the matte screen, it is soft on my eyes and really does not stress me as much as a glossy screen does. Easy to see with the lights on. CONS: Controls on the monitor are a bit hard to use. The buttons are small, and the menu is somewhat confusing. There are different colour modes you can also select, but they just make calibrating it more difficult. Also there are no speakers, which may be a con to come people but I have a little bluetooth speaker on the side so this was not a biggie for me. OVERALL: Great for any room, work space, etc. This is a homey monitor, and as a college student it is simply perfect. Not to big, not too small. I was originally thinking of getting a 27 incher, but that would have been too big; this is perfect.

Perfect for my 2nd monitor set up. I have two inputs both with DVI and HDMI for my ROG Ally dock and my desktop. This is a high quality panel and the eye care stuff actually is very nice. Matte finish on screen means no reflections either! Also a nice surprise is it’s 75hz! Makes things a little smoother. Very nice monitor for the money!

I have a few friends with 1080p monitors ranging from 21" to 24". This monitor is one of the best choices both in terms of color and physical design. I previously own 23" Samsung PX2370 which broke after 8 months. It was just my unit. One of my friends also has PX2370 for over a year with no problem. I personally think PX2370 has better colors than this monitor. But it could also be that my eyes haven't adjusted well to this monitor yet. I have been researching for a 23" or 24" 1080p monitors and I'm not yet disappointed with this monitor. I cannot use a desk mount with PX2370 which is the primary reason I'm going for ASUS. I'm going to get a desk mount so the wobble stand is no problem for me. The amazon pictures made this monitor really thick. I found some other pictures online and this is actually very slim. Just slightly thicker than PX2370. PROS: - Very solid quality build. - Slim profile (not as slim as Samsung PX2370 but this monitor has power supply built in) - comes with VESA mount - Control buttons are flushed with the surface unlike previous models - You can lift the monitor from the air vent slot which feels really sturdy - Rapid replacement warranty (I'm not sure how useful it will be when my monitor does break but it's not so pleasant to have no monitors around as my Samsung broke.) CONS: - OK stand which wobble if your desk vibrate but I don't see why that could be a problem - There are lots of USELESS options to adjust the color (If there were 100 possible adjustments, only 5 really works) - Unlike previous models, the cords come in perpendicular to the back surface -- not from the bottom. - 195$ is a little pricy. 150$ would be a great new price. BOTTOM LINE: Get it. You can use a desk mount on this slim monitor. It'll take you a while to achieve correct colors. Physical design is solid. I had a lot of monitors I wanted to buy after my Samsung broke. I saw these monitors being used in IGN pro league Starcraft II tournaments. I bought this monitor right after. There's no text ghosting in this model. I'll update any problems I may come across. I've tested Starcraft II and Diablo 3 on this monitor. They both run great.

Other than a single pixel on the left side of the screen going dead in the first 6 months, the monitor has been pretty reliable. 7 years after heavy use "turned on and off a dozen times per day", the power button finally went out. Overall, I buy Asus pretty heavily. I like their products. They aren't the best out there, but they're usually reliable and a great deal for the price. This monitor was cheap compared to most I saw at the time, so I knew what I was buying. Still, this is an honest review score.

Needed a new touchscreen option for my clinic. We were using a mobile desktop/tablet option, and it worked but it was time to upgrade. Saw this monitor and wanted to find the best price and quality, this one checks all of the boxes. Very easy to install, and touchscreen works great! Would love to get a larger monitor size in the future, but this works for now.
