    • Good Enough... mostly...
It's fine... When I first saw this laptop I was enamored with the i9-13 gen CPU at such a great deal of a price, that I let my excitement get the better of me. I give it 3-stars based upon my experience, but depending upon your usage patterns, may have a better experience. I for one will not be buying ASUS again, and in fact, intend to replace it eventually with a standard business laptop from Lenovo. My work experience with them has been just rock solid performance day-after-day. I don't do gaming, so don't care about massive GPU's or the like. If you are using this as a 'stand-alone' device, it'll be fine. That is, no extra monitors. Even though it (the CPU) is rated to run three total displays (1-internal, 2-external), I have had near constant issues with this. Stand-Alone by itself, it does good. For a 'travel laptop' it's nice, and does the job. In my situation I like multiple screens, the bigger the better. First off, even before plugging in to the docking station for your extra monitors, you better hope that the laptop recognizes the dock and even sends a signal through it. The KVM Switch I had been using for two years, between Dell and Lenovo laptops and desktops, this ASUS laptop didn't even register its existence. Through some trial and error (thank you work office docking stations!), I was able to identify that the ASUS did in fact work with a Lenovo Docking station (a Lenovo Docking Station, Dual Monitor, 40AF0135US). Once that was hooked up everything seemed to work fine. However, it would periodically 'freeze' up for a few minutes at a time, and then any clicks or things I had hit before the cursor also froze would blip across the screen. Hoping it was 'just' a RAM issue I upgraded the 16gb RAM to the devices max 40gb RAM. It seemed to help for a few days, but the freezing would continue to happen, though not as often. So, 'some' help. At the same time as the above freezing issue, it would sometimes at the same time, others separately, just drop connection to the external displays. Forcing me to unplug and replug in the display connections to the Docking station. The closest I can determine is that the size of the displays tells you how fast you will start getting dropped signal. My original 32-inch external monitors, every day, multiple times a day, like 6+ times a day. At the work office, same docking station, but with 24-inch external monitors, maybe once a day in an 8-hour timeframe. After I moved, and am now using two 27-inch monitors, 1-2 times a day depending upon how heavily I am using it. ... show more

About once an hour, Disk usage climbs to 100% and laptop becomes unusable. It must be rebooted. I end up rebooting this laptop 3 to 10 times a day.
