Very good gaming monitor: Getting up their in age eyes are not as good as they were; My old monitor is a AOC 1080p 144hz.This monitor has a lot of good settings. Playing Counter_Strike2 has helped me immensely!

The ASUS TUF Gaming VG27AQM5A delivers outstanding performance with its sharp 1440P resolution, ultra smooth 300Hz refresh rate, and Fast IPS panel. Gaming feels extremely responsive and fluid, making it a great choice for competitive and fast paced games. The image quality is excellent and the monitor feels well built overall. However, it did arrive with one dead pixel, which was disappointing. It also makes a cracking noise at times, which I understand can be normal for new monitors as the materials expand and contract, but it is still noticeable. Despite these issues, I paid 224 during a Black Friday sale for a monitor that usually costs around 400, which makes it an incredible value. Because of the great performance and huge discount, I would rate this monitor four stars. It is a great buy for the price, but the minor quality concerns prevent it from being perfect. ... show more

A DisplayPort cable is included with the monitor. If you do not connect this cable to the GPU then you won't be able to use the maximum screen dimension nor use the maximum amount of Hz available. If you can't get above 100 fps you should look for cheaper options with lower Hz, otherwise this is a fantastic monitor. Monitor is amazing. This page does need updated though. Most of them specs are incorrect. Check the asus site where the model is actually posted. Has 300 nitts, 1300:1 contrast, has a usb c port, and does have 1.4 display port Edit: Found a dead pixel after owning less than a week, currently in RMA process. I've owned only one other asus monitor in my life and it was another asus tuf model. It also had a dead pixel when I first got it. I thought I was unlucky. But my second and last monitor i will ever get from asus has a dead pixel (aka this monitor). Both basically in the center of the right half of the display. Upgraded my pc at the same time and now I won't be able to enjoy the upgrade for 2 to 3 weeks because of how long the rma process takes. So just get a different brand. And believe when a decent amount of comments say dead pixels. Edit 2: The rma process took over a month for this one... ... show more
