This is the best value I have ever gotten out of any display. I'm a CRT enthusiast, but this monitor has taken the throne for the best picture quality I've ever seen. The refresh rate is clearly a big selling point, but the resolution / pixel density is also very good. The low response time makes it perfect for competitive games too. Though it won't make you a more skilled player, it will definitely improve the quality of your experience. This is especially true if you're upgrading from a standard 60hz 1080p display. I really believe that this is the sweet spot between the extremes of quality and performance, and the price is well worth it especially on sale. ... show more

It has beautiful color and compared to other IPS monitors it has the best quality. The last monitor i had shook everytime i typed on my desk, the asus monitor stand is so durable so i dont deal with that. If you are looking for a good quality but budget monitor this is a great first one. it rotates and has a lot of different color settings. I truly believe this is the best IPS monitor. The reviews scared me because I thought itd be bad but i got no dead pixel. I've had this monitor for nearly 1 month and half and it still works as new. I give it 5 stars because it sastifies my mixture of gaming but working needs. I have eye problems but all i need to do is turn the brightness down then my eyes feel better. Also u can return(3 yr warranty) it if u get a dead pixel i dont understand why people rate it so low because of something returnable? ... show more

Value for money – This monitor offers a tremendous amount of value for the cost. Typically, you would have to pay a lot of money for a 27-inch 1440p monitor with such a high refresh rate (as high as 300Hz), however this monitor provides similar performance at a fraction of the cost. Build Quality – I find this monitor to be very solid overall. The stand is heavy-duty and the monitor itself does not feel cheaply made; it is a typical ASUS TUF design that is simple yet still focused on gaming. Additionally, the matte finish on the anti-glare screen greatly assists in keeping your eyes comfortable in brightly lit rooms. Screen Quality – Absolutely wonderful. The Fast IPS panel allows for very vivid and true-to-life colors and the 1440p resolution on a 27-inch screen provides a very crisp image. The monitor covers approximately 95% of the DCI-P3 color space, so colors pop in games and everyday use. In addition, viewing angles are very wide and allow you to easily see what is happening on the screen regardless of how far away you are. Performance – This is where the monitor really shines. The monitor is capable of running up to 300Hz with a response time of as low as 0.3ms, providing an incredibly fluid experience while playing fast paced games. It also supports Adaptive-Sync, FreeSync Premium, and G-SYNC compatible modes to provide a tear-free gaming experience even when frame rates vary. Gaming Features – ASUS has included many useful tools for gaming on this monitor. These include ELMB Sync, Shadow Boost, GameVisual presets, Dynamic Crosshair, and ASUS DisplayWidget software which allows you to modify monitor settings directly from Windows rather than using the monitor’s on-screen buttons. HDR and Brightness – It was nice to see HDR10 supported on this monitor. Although it is not the same level of HDR found on OLED monitors, it still adds a bit of extra brightness and depth to certain games. Speakers – I found these built in monitor speakers to be quite surprising. While they will not replace real speakers or headphones, they are convenient if you need quick audio without connecting external devices. Not Crazy About – While the monitor does have a good level of brightness, it is not extremely bright. Like most IPS panels, the contrast ratio is not as deep as VA or OLED monitors. I also found the on-screen menu to take a little time to get used to. Overall – I truly believe this monitor is a beast for gaming. The combination of a 1440p resolution, an extremely high refresh rate, and a fast IPS response time makes everything look smooth and sharp, especially in fast paced competitive games. The ASUS TUF Gaming VG27AQM5A delivers outstanding performance with its sharp 1440P resolution, ultra smooth 300Hz refresh rate, and Fast IPS panel. Gaming feels extremely responsive and fluid, making it a great choice for competitive and fast paced games. The image quality is excellent and the monitor feels well built overall. However, it did arrive with one dead pixel, which was disappointing. It also makes a cracking noise at times, which I understand can be normal for new monitors as the materials expand and contract, but it is still noticeable. Despite these issues, I paid 224 during a Black Friday sale for a monitor that usually costs around 400, which makes it an incredible value. Because of the great performance and huge discount, I would rate this monitor four stars. It is a great buy for the price, but the minor quality concerns prevent it from being perfect. ... show more

This monitor is honestly a game changer. The 1440p resolution looks super sharp, and paired with the 300Hz refresh rate, everything feels insanely smooth—especially in fast-paced games. You can really notice the difference compared to a regular monitor. The colors and overall picture quality are amazing too. Games look vibrant and detailed, and it makes the whole setup feel more immersive. In my setup (right monitor in the pic), it clearly stands out next to my other screen. Monitor is amazing. This page does need updated though. Most of them specs are incorrect. Check the asus site where the model is actually posted. Has 300 nitts, 1300:1 contrast, has a usb c port, and does have 1.4 display port Edit: Found a dead pixel after owning less than a week, currently in RMA process. I've owned only one other asus monitor in my life and it was another asus tuf model. It also had a dead pixel when I first got it. I thought I was unlucky. But my second and last monitor i will ever get from asus has a dead pixel (aka this monitor). Both basically in the center of the right half of the display. Upgraded my pc at the same time and now I won't be able to enjoy the upgrade for 2 to 3 weeks because of how long the rma process takes. So just get a different brand. And believe when a decent amount of comments say dead pixels. Edit 2: The rma process took over a month for this one... ... show more
