  • The Best FPS Monitor Out!
Monitor has been incredible for these couple of weeks I've had it. I've read a lot of horror stories online about random black screens, some white screens from enabling UMLB, dead pixels and even the panel just becoming damaged for no reason. Mine has not suffered from any of this yet (and hopefully never). Some precautions I did take before connecting the monitor from research online: setting prefer maximum performance for my gpu power usage and disabling g-sync in the nVidia settings menu. Granted I don't play a game yet that comes close to maxing my monitor, I bought this solely to have my PC hardware eventually do so in the years to come. I get around 235 fps in CoD, and it's been ultra smooth on the action. Also, for a TN panel, my first at that, it is exceptionally great with colors; not on the level of my current OLED, but def as good or better than VA and IPS monitors I've had in the past! ... show more

  • Was offered a service at check out and then not provided the service when needed.
The monitor worked great up till now. However, when I went to turn it on today the screen was blue and purple with a bunch of lines. I purchased a warranty from amazon for added peace of mind incase a problem like this would occur, but when I contacted them I was told there was nothing they could do since it was outside the return window and I had to contact the manufacturer. I reminded the operator I had purchased the protection plan from amazon and it was a defect with the monitor all I was looking to do was claim the warranty and get a replacement or have it fixed. I was told that was not possible and I would need to go through the manufacturer. If I wanted to deal with the manufacturer I would not have purchased the ASURION 4 Year Office Equipment Protection Plan ($700 - $799.99) for $111.29. This experience has been horrible and in the future I will not be buying anymore electronics or protection plans from amazon. The protection plan is just a MONEY GRAB so that amazon as a company can pull in even more profits do not waste your time buying the protection services from them. The reason I was told to go through the manufacturers warranty is because amazon does not want to eat the money lost for a defect product which is wrong after selling me a protection plan. ... show more

  • Amazing performance with some issues
This is great for competitive Esports titles like Valorant and decent for content consumption/single player games. The viewing angles are pretty bad if you are not in line with the monitor, but that's expected from a TN panel. I was able to get this monitor used for $750 and I've been using it for a year now with no major issues. Some of the issues that I have ran into are, if I used G-sync and loaded any game I would have to disconnect and reconnect my DP cable from the back of the monitor because the monitor would go black when loading a game using G-sync. This problem went away when I turned Gsync off or after I upgraded my gaming PC to a 9800X3D and RTX 5080 (I believe having a higher frame rate solved the issue). Occasionally the OSD menu would get glitchy and that would be solved by just replugging the power cable. Overall, this monitor has been incredible for esports focused games like Valorant and CS2. The motion clarity is insane and rivals the 1440p 500Hz OLEDs. ... show more

  • 1000$ TN 1080p monitor with NO sharpness setting?
I mean it’s kind of nuts that this monitor has potential to be the best e sports monitor, highest current refresh rate, better motion clarity then dyac2, 24 inches etc. This monitor is designed for games like CS2 which I main and I find myself playing WORSE with this monitor simply put because there is no sharpness setting which is simply outrageous for asking for 1k for a 1080p TN and you are marketing this monitor as an “esports monitor” for games like Cs and Val when the majority of the pros play on 4:3 resolutions like 1280x960 and 1024x768, which is even blurrier than 1080p. After playing on my acer 390hz with vrb and super sharpness on I play undoubtedly better despite the increase in refresh rate and motion clarity on the asus, simply put because at 1280x960 I can actually see the player models hitbox on the monitor, and most importantly I can see my tracers when spraying the AK and can control my spray based on the tracers. Spraying on the asus is a blurry mess and I can’t see ****. The Benq or Asus 540hz have a sharpness setting and I will be returning this monitor and will probably try the Benq. It’s crazy how even 4k oled monitors have a sharpness setting built in the OSD but a 1K usd “esports tn 1080p monitor” doesn’t have a sharpness setting. The only thing positive I can say about this monitor is the viewing angles, color gamut/volume, and contrast is great for a TN, it is more vibrant than my ips acer monitor despite being a TN. The increase in 100 nits in brightness in the back light strobing mode is also amazing. It also has better motion performance at lower refresh rates compared to my acer which is noticeably on games like Tarkov and warzone. Otherwise I’m very disappointed because after switching monitors 30 times, I can say with full confidence I preform much better on the acer because of the clarity from the native sharpness setting on the OSD. I really wanted to like this monitor but I simply can’t when I play much worse on it. ... show more

  • Best Monitor I've Ever Used
540hz is insane. That being said, this isn't for everyone. If you care more about motion clarity than input lag, there are OLED monitors coming down the pipeline that will blow it out of the water. If 1080p or 24" sound like a big downgrade, that's probably a good sign to look to the OLEDs as well. It's also still pretty expensive when we're approaching diminishing returns on refresh rate. Who should buy this? Anyone who regularly plays shooters at more than 360fps, people who are very sensitive to latency, and competitive gamers. Everyone else should be considering OLED options on the high end, or lower refresh-rate options if you are on more of a budget. ... show more
