ASUS PG27AQWP-W Review: A 1440p Gaming Beast with Insane Speed I recently picked up the ASUS PG27AQWP-W as my secondary monitor alongside a PG32UCDM-4K 240Hz QD-OLED, and it has quickly become my favorite for competitive gaming. This 27-inch WOLED panel runs at 1440p with a blistering 540Hz refresh rate, and it absolutely delivers where it counts. Picture Quality The image quality at 1440p is genuinely great. Colors are vibrant and accurate out of the box, blacks are perfect (true OLED advantage), and motion clarity is exceptional. Text is sharp for productivity work, and games look detailed and immersive without any noticeable pixelation on a desk setup. I was worried about stepping “down” from 4K, but honestly, the difference in everyday image quality is minimal. A 32-inch 4K monitor at 240Hz doesn’t make much of a difference in perceived sharpness or detail for most content—especially once you’re sitting at a normal viewing distance. The PG27AQWP-W holds its own beautifully. The Real Star: 540Hz Performance Where this monitor shines is the refresh rate. The PG27 at 540Hz is amazing. Everything feels buttery smooth—mouse movements, camera pans, and fast action all look incredibly fluid. In competitive titles like The Finals, Marvel Rivals, Warzone, or Apex, the difference over 240Hz is immediately noticeable and gives a real edge in tracking and reaction times. Paired with high polling rate peripherals, it’s a game-changer. I cap FPS around 533Hz for stability and it still feels next-level. The WOLED panel handles variable refresh rates flawlessly with zero tearing, and features like pixel cleaning are easy to manage. Build quality is solid, the stand is great, and the white aesthetic fits my setup perfectly. Final Verdict If you’re into competitive gaming, the ASUS PG27AQWP-W is an outstanding choice. The 1440p picture quality is great, the jump to 4K 240Hz isn’t as transformative as you might think for image fidelity, but that 540Hz experience is pure bliss. I only describe it as perfect, I heard some rumors about grey banding or sort but mine came just fine , did all the necessary test , everything works as it should, i am really happy about the quality and what screen offers, and the brightness with this screen as an oled looks fantastic, you can watch with daylight/ lights on just fine, i think its worth the price , easy to setup , fast responsive OSD which I really appreciate, and the screen looks like a piece of jewelry , highly recommend 👍🏻 ... show more

    • Noticeable grey banding and My speakers for my monitor are much quieter now
Just got it but so far my monitor speakers are much quieter on this thing. Can’t figure out why. Additionally, the grey banding is some of the worst I’ve seen on a monitor. For 1000$+ this is crazy.
