honestly if you are thinking of getting this over an OLED unless you play only CS GO or valorant just don't it is not worth it if you play anything else and even tho i really like 24 inch monitors it just isn't worth it

This review is for the ROG Strix Ace 610hz Esports monitor. So far the initial impression is pretty good since it definitely delivers on what they are selling and very fluid regardless of what your playing and got rid of the common ghosting problem I was having before with a cheaper 400hz IPS monitor. There are a few things to consider when your getting one though since the price is very steep for the size of the screen and also since it's a Super TN panel which is a little older technology compared to OLED or similar which might throw you off if your expecting super accurate colors. Color accuracy and brightness is great given it can register up to 810 nit max brightness which your going to go blind trying to keep it that high though lol. The darker textures are still pretty good when you set it up right. There are a few needed things right away when setting up which is an App and the monitor color profiles and drivers which let you fine tune the colors a lot better so it doesn't look washed out since default definitely does which is why that is needed. Default is 600hz not overclocked with an overclock mode that adds a little extra response speed and 10hz higher refresh rate. There is also a monitor resolution drop feature built in for older games and where performance matters the most which you may or may not ever really touch all that much since some games can hit the maximum fps of the refresh rate anyway as long as you have a decent GPU. The build quality is nice and feels sturdy with a mostly assembled monitor stand right of the box and not hard to remove if you plan on using a monitor desk mount (100mm VESA). There is a color sync and other settings built in for if you do care if your monitor symbol lights up on the backside or in my case you can't see it so I just leave it off to save energy lol. Overall it's pretty decent and well built just keep in mind there will be small issues if your not familiar with high performance monitors that sacrifice image quality for pure performance (flashing edges around videos in dark mode and a little light bleed on the edges when the screen is solid dark but not noticeable while playing games.) ... show more

Works very well as the tech reviewers/youtubers stated but paying this much money for a SINGLE dead pixel on a brand new monitor, and it’s close to the center of the screen too, is very frustrating to say the least
