I have been using this monitor extensively, and I can confidently say it has exceeded my expectations. The first thing that stands out is the glossy WOLED panel. I came from a QD-OLED monitor with a matte coating, and despite all the discussions online, I personally prefer the image quality of this glossy panel. Colors appear richer, cleaner, and more vibrant, while the glossy finish gives the image noticeably better depth and clarity. The build quality is outstanding, as expected from ASUS ROG. Everything feels premium, from the stand to the OSD and overall design. One thing I want to mention because it confused me at first: when the monitor arrived, it was running firmware MCM103. Updating to MCM105 was incredibly easy using the USB cable and ASUS firmware tool. The whole process only took a few minutes and worked flawlessly. Another thing worth mentioning is that when I first received the monitor, I noticed the gray uniformity wasn’t perfectly even. I performed one manual Pixel Cleaning cycle, and afterward the gray uniformity became noticeably better. Since then, it has remained consistent. Regarding gray banding, my unit has only very slight gray banding, and it is only visible if you intentionally run dedicated gray test patterns. During actual gaming, movies, desktop use, or HDR content, I simply never notice it. I also contacted ASUS Technical Support regarding the automatic pixel refresh that occurs every time the monitor enters standby. They confirmed this behavior is completely normal and actually beneficial for panel health. They also explained that if your usage sessions are often less than one hour, it is perfectly normal to see the cleaning counter increase more frequently because the monitor performs shorter maintenance cycles whenever it has the opportunity. Knowing this gave me complete peace of mind. Another pleasant surprise is the standby wake-up speed. The monitor wakes almost instantly without any black screen delays or annoying issues, making daily use feel very smooth. Gaming performance is exceptional. Motion clarity is fantastic, input lag is extremely low, HDR looks excellent, and the glossy coating really helps highlights pop. Text is also surprisingly sharp for everyday work. Overall, this is one of the best gaming monitors I have ever owned. After updating to firmware MCM105 and understanding how the automatic panel maintenance works, I have been extremely happy with it. Had issues at first with it not wanting to turn in and detecting the display from my pc. But after a firmware update all the issues I have had with the monitor have gone away. The picture is amazing, brightness is more than enough for me and the glossy black is amazing!! I’m sure a lot of people will complain about it having the mirror finish but like… you should know what you’re buying before you complain about it. It isn’t Asus fault that you bought a black mirror knowing this and complaining. Anyways, this monitor replaced a Samsung g9 OLED which I had thought looked amazing to begin with but this blows it out of the water. There is a QD version of this monitor that people say technically looks better but it’s so close to one another that it won’t matter tbh. ... show more

I upgraded from a 27 inch VG278QR that has a TN panel and it is just night and day. I've been waiting for an ultrawide 4k OLED at the right price but this monitor popped up during Prime Day and I couldn't pass it up for $814. This monitor uses LG's WOLED tech so you won't be seeing the raised purples in dark scenes in a well lit room. The TrueBlack Glossy coating produces perfect blacks for dark scenes while allowing colors to pop. As it does have a glossy coating, there will be reflections especially if you have windows behind you during dark scenes. At times it can be distracting if you have the blinds pulled shut and a family member decides to randomly open them. You are mainly paying for the dual mode though. Being able to play competitive shooters at 1080p at 480hz while switching to AAA story titles at 4k 240hz allows you to have one monitor to play a multitude of games. The built in KVM is also a big plus allowing me to hook up a console to the monitor along with my PC. I can switch between the two seamlessly. OLEDs are still relatively expensive but it is getting cheaper as shown through the Alienware AW2726DM which is a 1440p 240hz QD-OLED. Is 4K nice to have? Yes. However, if you don't have the money a 1440p OLED is more than enough for most people. ... show more

Very pricey but a good deal on sale and has all the bells and whistles for next gen consoles with the HDMI 2.1 and VRR. Looks great and the 4k truly does look good on the 32 inch for general media or gaming after personally playing on a 27 inch 1440p for about 5 years. The built in software is great and this panel has the new true black glossy oled which is great for if you have slight glare and also kindve a perfect middle ground between the matte oleds and the glossy ones that people seem to prefer over the mattes because of the better colors and brightness. These were the two main issues that caused me to return this display: 1. Very poorly implemented input switching. It never successfully detected my USB-C hub that I plug my laptop into, and so I would have to manually switch the inputs when I wanted to use my laptop with my display. No LG display has this issue. 2. Reflections. TrueBlack Glossy is, of course, a glossy display, so I expected some level of reflectivity, but this display is essentially a mirror - I can see my own reflection in a dark room if I use dark mode in some apps. That's just unacceptable to me. Some pros: - Actually gets very bright in SDR mode if you don't care about uniform brightness. I found this great for work and productivity outside of the reflectivity issue. - 240 Hz is as good as advertised. - It's a 4K 32" OLED. - Picture clarity is quite good. ... show more
