  • Not the best value, but everything works exactly like it should.(which is worth a lot to me)
There are motherboards with better specs or more value for the money. (looking at you Gigabyte) I'll be honest and say I am overly partial to Asus now which has come over 20+ years of building computers as an enthusiast. I have had less problems or unexpected issues with Asus which at this point in my life is worth the price premium. There are other brands with better paper specs or more value for the money, but really I use Asus for my builds because I know they will work exactly how I want them to. Gigabyte has comparable boards with more m.2 slots or better rated max memory speeds. But I have had way to many issues with Gigabyte parts over the years that they are a brand that I know If I am buying, I am taking a risk of quality/reliability for better cost/value. MSI I like a lot, but honestly they can get more expensive easily and the comparable boards I usually just choose Asus because the prices are the same. I have had an issue with 1 MSI laptop and 1 MSI motherboard which was handled, but less than great. So brands aside, this board is what I was looking for for X570. Ditched the annoying south bridge fan, Stable high speed ram clocks, looks good (we all value this somewhat), built in IO shield(we have all installed a MB at some point only to realize we forgot to put the darn shield on and have to reinstall), post code display, removable case pinout connector, amazing power stability, and pretty much anything else you would expect from a premium board (bios flashback, cooling, etc etc.) Asus bios is pretty close to perfect for my liking. the profile saving/ favorites pinning is a step up for sure. The negatives about this board are very much dependent on preference. You pay a premium for what I would call better quality assurance. Gigabyte has better value in this space, but you are taking a chance IMO on quality/reliability. There are boards with more m.2 slots, but again 2 is more than enough for most people at gen 4 with 2tb being relatively common now days. Board is Daisy chain for the Ram which is I guess ideal TBH. The OCD in me likes to fill out the board, but Daisy chain is better with 2 dual rank sticks which fits well with 32GB total. 16GB is probably enough for 99.9% of everyone, but you do get slightly better performance with 32GB and at this price point why not? Like if you need to max out ram, are there 32gb single rank sticks? I guess you could run 4 dual rank 32gb sticks on a T Toplogy board and say screw it, or even find 4 single rank 16gb sticks which are still hit or miss to get for the brands that have both single and dual rank for 16 gb sticks. Board works exactly like it should which to me is worth the price premium at this point in my life. If you are a gambling man/woman, Gigabyte has better cost to performance/features. But my experience is that you are taking a chance on reliability and that isn't worth my time any more. ... show more

  • IMPORTANT OS REVIEW
My motherboard came faulty and non-functional. I waited to write this review until I bought another one. The Second motherboard I order came fully functional (Thank God). I large caution to those who buy this motherboard AND a 5000 series CPU. DO NOT PANIC when installing a fresh clean Windows 10 OS install, by fresh and clean and you get Blue Screens of Death with "clock_watchdog_timeout" errors. You have to literally play russian roulette with the update assistant (download one to a flash drive before doing this so it can catch you up to speed on all updates all at once) because once the update manager finally makes it all your blue screens will be solved. The problem for this is fresh installs of windows 10 (if you are someone like me that has a disc from 2015) does NOT support any thing your 2022 tech has. It cant properly use your CPU so it gets hung up trying to proccess things. Do not uninstall drivers until you ran the windows update assistant manager tool (which you should have ready to use from a flash drive). Aside from all this frustration, the board works amazing, came straight out of the box working for my R9 5950x CPU and I had no issues whatsoever with the motherboard itself. I wont knock a star for receiving a bad board the first time around, these things happen and ASUS has amazing customer support. ... show more

  • Very stable with Ryzen 5900
This is a superb and stable MB. My Ryzen 5900 can run at 4700 MHz with no problem. It installed easily and ran on the first bootup. The BIOS setup offers many options. I usually run it in silent mode, but it will change speeds when the temp gets near 65 Celsuis. At max cpu speed it will stay below 70C. The cpu is air cooled by a Noctura fan. I have been running this since March. I really appreciate the abundance of USB ports. I have not needed any support. This is a well made MB. You can see that when you look at the components. Asus did not cut corners. Expensive, but worth it. ... show more

  • Works Perfectly
First time buying such a high price item used, but so far I have noticed no issues and no instability with any of my components on the motherboard. At first, the ram was having issues getting all sticks to recognize and boot, however, this is a common issue on all boards especially with 4 sticks of ram. I eventually went from 1 stick to 2, then all 4, and it worked flawlessly afterwards. Power delivery is good on the board as well, on my previous Aorus B450 Pro wifi, I was struggling to get my CPU to reach the targeted specifications, however on this board it reaches it with ease and with headroom to spare. ... show more

  • Looks great
I wanted a flagship AM4 PC, so I got one. Board works fine, been building PCs for a very long time and this board was a pleasure to work with, outside of the fan header placement and only two USB2 headers. Holds a stable, humble overclock well. If you're having trouble with the RGB ROG logo on the heatsink, I believe you needed to adjust the power state in the BIOS. There's a video on YouTube somewhere, but I cba to find it. It's a bug ASUS never fixed. ... show more
